The 97th Big-Little Game turned out to be a very great game... Haven't seen a better game since the "91" BLG which was an overtime thriller that put Pittsburg in the playoffs and eventually knocked out De La Salle in the NCS Championship. The Antioch Panthers had to score 30 points in the second half to come from behind and win this one!!! Antioch wins 44-42. Star running back and Alabama commit, Najee Harris scored 4 TD's and rushed for 268 yards for the Panthers. 10,000 in attendance
Those guys are good... Najee is the BEST back I've seen come out the Bay Area the past 25 years! Marshawn Lynch included. He has all the tools to be a great back at the next levels elusive, size, and speed!

Sure, he's got raw talent but most of that is due to his size. He's much bigger than most of those defenders and you can tell they're afraid to go at him with all they have. Once he's playing D1 college ball he'll see what a real challenge is when the guys are bigger and stronger than him and not afraid to hit him
I'm sure he is prepared for the next level because he is the BEST athlete on the field at any game! When he does get to the next level he will have a bigger line and bigger holes... Nice vid! Najee is going to the league barring injury. I believe Antioch will make it to the title game against DLS this year. That will be the end of the road Najee, but I still think he'll get at least 100 yards on the Spartans on pure talent alone.

+PassportplayasTV DLS over the last 12 years has struggled a bit out of the gate in the first 2 or 3 games of the year, leading to some losses. And DLS has, historically, struggled with prime time running backs (Hershel Dennis of Poly, Chris Lewis of Clovis West, Anthony Barr of Loyola, Hasty of Bellevue, JaRon Wilson of Trinity). I think Najee is above all of those backs and more. He's going to get his yards (mainly on big gains), but Antioch just doesn't impress me as a TEAM. I'm not sure they have anything else to throw at DLS when DLS stacks 8 men in the box. DLS just has to contain Najee Harris, much like Foothill did. I'll be watching the game for sure, though! My prediction, 42-21.

tony195869 I am an NCS guy, Encinal c/o '93. Seen a lot of DLS ball over the years, and watched them hammer a lot of good teams. San Leandro with Dixon back in the early 2000s was an animal for everyone else except DLS. Just a different story for some reason with DLS vs. NorCal. Bells came close a few years back. Folsom at their peak got handled. But Antioch doesn't have anything that I'm aware of other than Harris. If I'm wrong please let me know. Even with a few skill players, do the Panthers have the line play and physicality? I guess what I'm saying is that it is not going to matter what type of team DLS has, talent-wise. Due to pure teamwork, discipline, and physicaity, DLS defeats Antioch 19/20 nights. Will this year be the year that the Panthers put together that miracle night (like Pitt in 1991)? Stay tuned!

IF they are better than Najee than they would get recognized. It's true some players are under recruited, hell, look at Joshua Jacobs at Alabama right now. He had offers from New Mexico St, some other crap team, and Bama. Bama got BJ Emmons also last year, the no.1 RB prospect in the 2016 class and he's being outplayed right now at Bama by Jacobs. Najee is the best RB in the 2017 class and right after is Cam Akers. Both were committed to Bama at one point but only Najee is keeping his commitment and he won't regret it when he goes to the pros with 2-3 NC rings.

Najee is a good good kid. I worry about that kid. He reminds me of me when I was his age. I was very nice but I was naive. He's more introverted and I'm more sociable. But something he and I have in common is we both come from similar backgrounds in a way. I'm not going to get into that because I'm a coach at AHS and out of respect for him I won't get into that. Because I respect him too much to do that to him. I see him as a human being like myself and anybody else. Some of these recruiters and people who come to see him to play don't see him as a human being. They just see him as Najee Harris # 2. I see him as Najee Harris a young kid with a heart of gold like myself when I was that age. I just wish more people appreciated him as a human being instead of just seeing him as dollar signs!!!!!!!
