I remember seeing the Velvet Room in Persona 1, where Igor was chilling while a woman sang and a man played the piano. Maybe Elizabeth learned how to play from that piano player (who had the oxymoronic name Nameless). And the piano song had nothing to do with long noses.
Man, one thing i have to give this game credit for is the characters constant need to overcompensate for their short comings, like in persona 4 its the literal point of each character having a facade and then finding the truth of their real selves but here its less focused on so it comes across more subtle
Like Mitsuru is the unapproachable high-class rich girl who you need intelligence to even talk to, but in truth, she just suffers from living a sheltered life and has little social ability apart from being commanding to her subordinates (so her social link is expeirencing normal stuff like going to cheap restaurants)
Akhiko comes across as the tough cool older figure whos stoic athleitc and popular, but when you get to know him hes actually an introverted guy who isnt staying fit to be healthy but is obsessed with staying strong to overcompesnate for his weaknesses due to his past
Yukari is the popular atheltic girl of her grade who comes off as rude and abrasive but in truth she wants to be independent and not feel helpless like she did in her childhood with her mother so it comes out too strongly
Ken is incredibly mature and level-headed for his age, but in truth, he doesn't feel like anyone is there for him anymore since his mum died so he tries to be strong and independent so as not to be a burden to anyone, but when he gets closer to the group his child like joy comes out more with watching cartoons with makoto or discussing neo featherman
Finally, Junpei he doesn't feel special next to his very talented peers so he makes up for it by coming off as very extroverted and energetic and feels strong during the dark hour so when makoto beats him even when hes found something hes good at his insecurity leaks out.
So yeah, i have enjoyed experiencing these characters in this remake. It really does feel like a group of insecure kids burdened with saving the world

So I wrote out the lyrics to "Everybody was Haiku Writing"
Everybody was haiku writing
Those kids wrote fast as lightning
And those lyrics were a little bit frightening
But we kept with the timing
There were funky keytar licks and spunky rap-arounds
They were limericing up, and pentametering down
It's an old shakespearean art, and everybody knew their part
From a poem to a verse, to an old arcane curse
Everybody was haiku writing
Those kids wrote fast as lightning
And those lyrics were a little bit frightening
But we kept with the timing
There was spicy Romeo, and classic Othello
He said, "Here comes the new verse, let's act it now"
We took a bow after the show, started encoring down below
A sudden vocal made me stop, and now we're writing some new slop
