With the emergence of services like Venmo, even teenagers now have access to digital financial solutions. But, is Venmo Teen really a smart choice for your child?
2News sought advice from Melanie Jewkes, a financial education expert at Utah State University Extension, to explore the pros and cons of this new financial tool for teens.
Venmo is often perceived as a straightforward and user-friendly platform, according to Jewkes.
"It could be a good thing. Venmo is pretty slick and easy; those who use it find it's pretty simple," she said.
Melanie Jewkes specializes in financial education, teaching people how to manage their finances, get out of debt, save money, and make basic investments.
