This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

just some tips, usually before doing a shot you wanna wait a little more for everything to get warmer for a better extraction, you will also wanna get a towel and purge the steam wand before using it in your milk, if you dont a bunch of excess water will go in your milk :)

It definitely makes excellent goopy chocolaty espresso. It's as if I'm literally drinking chocolate milk and gave to purposely add cold brew coffee to it to make it taste like coffee. Get it dialed in and it's a wonderful espresso machine. Especially with milk drinks.

@@freakbbasketball8375 It lasted me about 3 months. If i were you, i would save some more money and buy a good entry espresso machine such as the Gaggia classic pro. The quality in espresso from such a cheap machine is very poor and inconsistent. The Delongi machine here would be just fine for someone who doesnt really care for the fine details, results, and quality of their espresso. It was okay for me at the time, But since ive learned so much more about coffee and espresso in particular, I wouldnt waste your money.

I've had this same model espresso machine for about three weeks and today it started making a massively loud rattle when I try to get a shot. It takes a long time for the shot to come through, and when it finaly does the noise quiets down a bit. I keep the water tank full but it's like the machine is having a hard time drawing water, and ends up rattling the little carafe right off the plate.

Lavazza coffee may be tasty but it's not organic right? Coffee is the most sprayed
crop, if you are not buying organic, you are drinking pesticides. I know organic is
not perfect but at least the pesticides may be less or at least less harmful. VERY helpful

It is espresso, es-spress-oh, not express-oh. Second, you need to tamp you espresso down a little. Don't do it so hard that the steam can't push through, but push it down enough so that you can fit a little more coffee in there, and so that as the steam pushes through, it will meet a little resistance through the ground beans. This will give a heavier flavor, a thicker bodied coffee, and a more dense and creamy head. As for cleaning the streamer, I like to have a metal cup with a insulated handle, fill it most of the way with water, and steam the water until it comes clean, for a simple clean between coffees. For a deeper clean, as when you are done with it for the day, dismantle for deep clean. I don't know about that machine, but that is how I do bigger ones. Finally, try Bustelo coffee. My Great Grandmother was Sicilian, My Great Grandfather was from Naples, and that is what they used. I didn't even know that, and found my way to using it, and then when my mother saw it at my house, she told me that that is what they used. That sad enough for me...

Try and see if the filter basket was properly installed into the portafilter: flush and level at the entire junction.
Also make sure that the group head is cleared of any instructions (old coffee, packaging material, etc.) that would otherwise prevent proper seal.
Finally, try to lock the portafilter into place more firmly, by hand.
I hope you can solve the problem!
      Best, Michel

Do you have to manually stop the coffee pour or does it know when the espresso is done? And for Americano i guess you just let it continue pouring through the grinds or do you make an espresso shot and top up with water separately to keep consistency?

  • @SuperOpinion8ed
    @SuperOpinion8ed 4 года назад

Damn you! You said "and to clean it..." I got excited. Then you didn't take the basket off. In my Gaggia superautomatic it makes nice little dryish pucks. My Delonghi leaves a wet basket full of grinds. I guess it doesn't tamp for you or press the grinds so maybe that's normal. It's also started leaking at the group head after stopping. Doesn't leak during brewing but if the boiler still has pressure it drips into the bottom at least 1/8 cup. We have to put an empty cup under it. Might be the gasket but of course everything is hard to find. Don't want to spend $100 to fix a $7 gasket if that's what it is.

    • @hankschwiebert1457

It will always drip put of the spout after pulling a shot. To avoid this, I believe you need a 3 way valve that more expensive machines have. Just put a cup under to catch drips.

    • @CarsandEspresso

Yes, I do have a grinder... It does make a big difference... We alternate between decaf and regular, that's why I have two little air tight containers to keep it fresh. The grinder is next to the Espresso machine.

I worked as a barista for years and non dairy milks were always harder to get a nice foam on since they have a lower fat content. See if you can find barista blend soy milk. If you haven't tried it already, it's meant to be better for steaming.
