Thanks James this video , I watched it and listened to what u said ,and guess what I got sent into do a job for a CX member to transport a small van job from m40 to m90 Manchester cargo centre . Got to the pick up ,53kg item black shrink wrapped with UN 3481 plastered all over it Thanks to your video I googled it and used the ADR tool and it’s class 9 , adr all the same and therefore with just normal goods in transit insurance I was unable to to ship it Immediately phoned the shipper to tell him the problem and arrange cancellation fee , no response Left message giving them the benefit of the doubt but still no reply ! Next ,whilst I’m still on site ,they just cancelled the job on me and to make matters worse ,just reposted the job still with no indication of the goods being subject to ADR !!! Immediately submitted ticket , waiting to hear from CX before I name and shame these charlatans! Many thanks for u video ,without it I would probably have taken the goods .
Was asked to ship 4 compressed Co2 bottles. When I declined the shipper wasn’t happy. No mention on the posted job . Not ADR aware even. Did I do the right thing?
You lost the money. Co2 is solid (dry ice) inside and not dangerous at all. I've carried deep frozen products in styro box with a slab of CO2 as cooling agent.
@@konradd Isn't Co2 (Carbon Dioxide) UN1013? I might be wrong, but my unerstanding is that ALL compressed gasses are covered by ADR regulations. It's shocking how many shippers on the CX blatently lie to non ADR drivers to get them to take ADR loads. (I've been caught out myself, only worked out later when going over it all again post job)
ADR jobs on the CX can be a nightmare. I would say every 1 in 4 I do have no DGN notes or even labels. Shippers including some bigger ones that should no better really don't understand the process!

I’m really glad it could help. Hopefully the CX sort it and you get a cancellation fee
Interesting stuff 👍
