    Oh wow we used to go to Blackpool as kids, first one to spot the tower got sixpence 😂. It looks lovely and sunny, here it’s pouring down rain and high winds until at least Monday late afternoon. If it ain’t it’s good 👍. Good to have you back, have a fab weekend, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦

      Thanks Ali, wow a sixpence, we used to get them in the christmas pudding too, and yes we now have the backlash of the rain from the storm over floirida about to hit. Oh well will have to wait for another day to get there. x

    5:00 fennel?

      It is dill, I do have a fennel in another bed though, which I am very excited about. Just need to find out when to harvest it :)

    Brassicas,sprouts and leeks are fine with even deep frost.Carrots need the tops trimming and the potatoes as they won't carrying on growing once it gets cold .You can leave the carrots in the ground if fleeced and harvest as you want .You can leave the potatoes but the tops are very frost prone .Yes the paper will be great in the compost 🙂

      Omgosh, thank you for the full advice. I am back up in the morning, so I will put paper in on top of horse manure. Will attempt to fleece carrots until I can get Pete up with me to rebuild/sort frames. Will also attempt to fleece the potatoes as determined to have my Christmas dinner plate full of homegrown, n
