Yamaha R1 is truly a legend. I love a lot rides but this is my most favorite of all.
The sound and technology is fantastic, but there are other´s powerfull engines in the market.
@@Big1_ The main advantage I have felt on Yamaha motorcycles over the others are the sync between the rider and the ride. That is on another level, when they came up with the "We R1" (We are one - the ride and rider) campaign, I felt like this is the most apt and honest taglines a brand can ever have.
I have limited perspective, I am comparing the kinds of GSXR with an R1 and Kawa Z series lineups with the MT series. Yamaha always feels more safe because whatever my mind wants the ride to do I could execute the exact same effortlessly and more confidently. The MT-07 is more precise than the Duke 790 which is marketed as "the scalpel" for its precision.
@@AsilAdnan Watch out what you say about the Duke 790, that´s a track machine, you can´t compare it with the MT07 toy with 80´s suspensions and bored engine. Even my Hornet 600 from 1999 with 96hp and 172 kg, spits on the MT07 face day and night without any problem.

When I am on a Duke, I am riding it. And I like it very much too, the raw power, the excitement...I adore even the slightest of things, say, the KTM orange...But,
When I am on an MT, I am it.

@@Sustriimajority of race teams choose yamaha r1 as their bikes, speaks volumes of how good it is and it's reliability. It has always been a race winning machine. Maybe you are new to motorbikes.
30 years of hard enduro and supermoto racing, doing the Portuguese and Spanish championships... but yes let's say that I'm new to motorbikes. probably more than 20 brand new yamaha' s that I bough, still have a couple of them including a wr 2 trac.

So nice to own the original. It was my dream bike and I think it's still one of the best looking bikes ever made, especially in the red and white color scheme. I will never sell it.
