Full as a dam at capacity
My passion's about to explode, yeah
I can't escape, it's surrounding me
I'm caught in a storm
That I don't need no shelter from
[Chorus]
Rain down (on) on me
Let your love just fall like rain
Just rain on me
Just rain down (on) on me
Let your love just shower me
Just rain on me

Shower me
Sprinkle me
Fall down on me
(Your love just falls on me)
Fall down, fall down on me
Let it
Fall down, fall on me
Just
Rain down on me
Chill me with your loving touch
Rain on me
I wanna feel your love is real
Just
Rain down on me
Me
Rain on me
Oh baby
[Chorus]
Rain down (on) on me
Let your love just fall like rain

The melody in this song was inspired by my favorite musician -Jaco Pastorius on his 1976 self titled album. The song is titled “Portrait of Tracy”. Masterfully done!
Thanks bro let them know the back story facts✔️
@@DwayneETowns Thanks. Jaco was a phenomenal musician who died in a terrible way. He didn’t get the credit he deserved due to his battle with mental illness which ultimately led to his murder. I was very glad to hear his influence on this song.
@@AnthonySmith-ki2yz When SWV did their rendition, they introduced a whole new generation to Jaco Postorius,s genius. I witness him live with Weather Report 1977 in Royal Oak,Mi.
@@DwayneETowns Jaco, Joe and Wayne. That had to be special! Unfortunately, Jaco had passed away by the time I learned of him in the early 90s. After meeting his ex wife, Ingrid (RIP) and his sons Felix and Julius at Sam Ash music store, I found out that we lived in the same city.
@@AnthonySmith-ki2yz Now that's an amazing story!
youtube is the closest thing to being able to go back in time that any of us will get
Wonderful example of the vocal, arrangement and production perfection of some 90’s R&B. Sublime….
Sometimes it's soft as a misting rain
That gently touches my soul
It cools the fire that burns in me
And I simply lose control
So just
Rain down (on) on me
Let you're love just fall like rain drops
Rain on me
Just
Rain down (on) on me
Let you're love just shower me
Just rain on me
Full as a dam at capacity
My passion's about to explode, yeah
I can't escape, it's surrounding me
I'm caught in a storm
That I don't need no shelter from
Rain down (on) on me
Let you're love just fall like rain drops
Rain on me
Just
Rain down (on) on me
Let you're love just shower me
Just rain on me
Shower me
Sprinkle me
Fall down on me
(You're love just fall on me)
Fall down, fall down on me
Let it
Fall down, fall on me
Just
Rain down (on) on me
Let you're love just fall like rain drops
Rain on me
Just
Rain down (on) on me
Let you're love just shower me
Just rain on me
Great
Love it

Anyone here from June 2024... Looove this song! 80s baby
I'm here in August
I always romanticized about the idea of meeting my future wife. We would both get the exact same vibe this song conveys. Fast-forward 20 years later, I met my soulmate..and now we have a beautiful daughter. And now this song hits harder. Don't give up looking. Your soulmate is out there. If being in love had a definition.
💯💯💯🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿💚💚💚😉😉😉👫👫👫
Real shit
You rained all over her
The beat is so damn beautiful. Def compliments well with SWV's strong vocals.
I agree 100%
Is that a young Tyrese in the driver's seat? Wow 🥰🥰🥰🥰
This song just randomly popped in my head and here I am. What a beautiful song, beautiful voices, beautifully produced.
It's kinda dope that Tyrese is in the original video and then he sings on the hook when Chingy samples the song.
Full circle moment lol
🔥🔥🔥
I feel priviliged to have grown up with this fantastic music, real music, that is still just as great nowadays as it was then...

Coco has such a beautiful, and unique voice.
I’m so glad I’ve showed my son’s all types of music because this was a request from my 17 year old to play
This song is SO GOOD. THE HARMONIES in the chorus are out of this world.
Hands down one of my favourite songs of all time.

I'm a 50's baby but my kids who are 49 44 39 and 37 shared their music with me. I grew up in a house with rap...and just good music. I'm a SWV fan for life. Alexis play SWV
This song makes me think of spring/late summer storms in the south. The skies get dark gray and it feels so calming.
