I remember watching this video back in 2018, when I bought a used 2014 IS300h, same colour exterior and interior as this review model - pre facelift and it doesn't have the adaptive cruise or a lot of the other bells and whistles this one has. I still have it 4 years on and I cannot speak highly enough of it. At this year's service there were zero issues at 76000 miles and nearly 9 years. Quite a different experience to owning BMW's of similar age and mileage where every serivice seemed to come with a list of issues needing to be fixed, resulting in a near 4 figure bill.
Yeah, these are brilliant cars. The build quality is so high and its very pleasant car to drive. I never really understand why press and "car" people say this is worse than 3-series or A4s at the time.

The IS300 is a very good car, with Japanes build quality. No need to compare every car with the Bm'er or the one with the 3 pointed swastika. All new cars have the same features these day, so it's down to ride quality and reliability. In the UK you'll have no trouble getting 50mpg which isn't bad for a 2.5L petrol engine. As well as £10 a year road tax.(you pay more for road tax on newer models)
IS is very, VERY good on long distance motorway cruising. My opinion, better than A4 atleast. So much refinement. It almost compares to E-class or 5-series.

Lexus CT or Lexus IS300h? Which is more comfortable to drive? I heard the CT is way more economical ie smaller car etc but some reviews state that the CT is a little bumpy? I'm used to a VW Polo so not sure if it would be a more bumpy drive or not?

Adam i agree with you on this, my dad has the exact car and he's just put me on the insurance fyi to the right of the steering wheel on the dashboard there is a "car engine" sound button, great video also would be nice to see you reply

Why can't we just have a hybrid straight six motor? I mean shit if BMW still doing straight 6 Motors then how come other companies won't bring back the straight six such as Nissan and Toyota and so on
For the same reason BMW and many other german brands had good problems when WLTP was introduced. They are doing banana crazy shit and have no reasonable visions about their future. When the strict regulations kick in, around 2023, BMW and lots of others will have great problems to meet the demanded emission levels. Even the Toyota group struggles, but they have, at least. done a good part of the way to meet those expectations. I would, also, like to see, at least, inline sixes in those Lexuse's. Even a 2.1 twinscroll turbo one would have a legitime approach. But it doesn't seem the world is going in this direction anymore.
Depends if company car, ioniq has a lower bik as co2 is lower. If personal then IS as it is smoother and better made. My dad looked at the hyundai in the top spec and it was slow, loud and very plastic inside for £25k+, he ended up with a new Lexus CT for the same money. I own the IS and its awesome

@@SamMuj91You can drive in EV mode for speeds upto 40-50kmh, but the range is very little. Most efficient in regular mode just let its do its thing

I got one, it's amazingly comfortable and Lexus has a warranty for 10 years if engine, electric engine, gearbox etc break.

I use 5.8 Lt per 100km in drive mode (not eco or sport mode) You'll have to do the maths for the miles calculations.
