Tatting for Beginners - Sewing Ends In

I've shown how to use magic loops to hide ends when you complete your tatting in my previous video but here is the most common and simplest way to hide your ends: with a sewing needle, weaving under the caps of stitches. I don't know why it's taken me so long to do a video on this technique as it's really useful when starting to tat... to know how to finish!

So well demonstrated and with magnifying application now available in videos, it is so much more clear,.....it has made my concept v clear and is surely going to make my tatting easier n happier😊..
.... with time I found sewing in ends as most practical for me.... needs no pre-planning and there no tension of failure as it is with magic loops.

Hi Tasneem, yes, as you say, the advantage of sewing ends in is that you don't need to think about it in advance. But for me, I'm now really comfortable with magic loops (so no fear of failure) and I think I prefer the invisibility of that technique. However, I still regularly forget to put them in at the beginning! :-)

Ciao volevo complimentarmi per il tutorial sono molto istruttivi si imparano tante cose .Volevo un consiglio quando faccio un centrino rotondo e termino il giro io devo tagliare il filo per poi fare il giro successivo c'è qualche metodo che puoi farmi vedere? Hi Cecilia, do you mean you would like to move from one round to the next without having to cut your thread? If that's what you mean, I love using split rings and split chains to move from one round to the next without have to cut and tie. Let me know if that answers your question. :-)

@@ceciliaporseo6568 Hello Cecilia, it's not always possible to move from one round to another without cutting but it very often is! It depends on the pattern. Do you know how to make split rings? You may have to start and end your round at a slightly different place to be able to use a split ring or a split chain. If you watch this video: ruclips.net/video/odFya2noWwE/видео.html it shows how I use a split ring to move from one round to the next. From 4m:39s, that's where I'm making the split ring. I hope this helps!
