Many thanks for all the lovely feedback! If you enjoyed this film please subscribe to my channel, some big ideas and plenty more like this planned for 2021.
The 'Norfolk Tourist Board' (or whatever it is called) should be commissioning you to make short films for them. They would be mad not to! Loved the short film :-)
Ha, thank you, I have filmed commissions for Visit North Norfolk for the last few years (some of the footage in this video was shot while filming for them this year).
My family have lived, loved and died in Norfolk and for Norfolk for hundreds of years. We are part of the very soil. Norfolk is in my blood. The north Norfolk coast is in my heart and my most favourite place in the world. Thanks for taking the time to do this film.
Wow! North Norfolk born and bred, lived and worked in North Norfolk seal trips, reed cutting for 67 years, Impressed. Keep up the excellent photography.
Thanks Chris for such a lovely video of the Norfolk Coast. I have just found your channel, and have subscribed. I am also a film maker and photographer based in South Norfolk, and it's wonderful to find a channel that is well presented, filmed and entertaining as yours. Well done mate, I still have a long way to go with my channel, which is just started to get noticed, Alan.
Now 70 and not very mobile my Norfolk birding days are well and truly over, your video is awesome, very interesting, thanks for sharing , really enjoyed it….Poggy
Great job! I loved watching this all the way from Oz. My late dad was from Norfolk and I have wonderful memories of visits to Norfolk over the years. Thank you so much for sharing this.
So beautiful!!!😍 I live in Norwich and love to visit the coastal areas of Norfolk. You make Norfolk look stunning... absolutely love your photography... great talent you have! 😎 Looking forward to watching some of your other films now!
I just finished Elly Griffith's The House at Sea's End and spent the last hour watching vids of coastal erosion, sunning on the beaches, etc., but this was exactly what I wanted: an entire year! Absolutely perfect in every way. In July 1992, I was blessed with the opportunity to take a three week holiday in Scotland and down the East Coast of England, but only as far as Holy Isle. My claim to fame is that I walked the entire length of the Causeway at low tide from Lindisfarne to the mainland. The weather was just lightly misting. We weren't quite as aware of how bad the coastal erosion would get in these past 30 years. I prefer land that is hight and dry, but the beauty of Norfolkshire is breath taking. The fish look delicious. About a week after Holy Isle I stopped ant a small neighborhood pub in Winchester for supper and saw fresh fish on the menu. When I ordered the lady said it might take an extra minute or two as she has to go out back to the weir and catch it. Fresh trout--grilled, peas, chips and some other delicious things for the equivalent of about $7.00 American. I love your fantastic country. And your wonderful video.
Nice video, lived in Norfolk until 30 years ago when I moved to the Isle of Wight ,another stunning place,,,now I live in Spain and Morocco also in amazing nature ,I lived on the Norfolk B-roads for a couple of years and I often think it’s one place I could definitely return for my last days
This was great. I'm from Liverpool but lived in Norfolk for four years, my son was born there. Back in Liverpool for now but I want to move back to Norfolk in the next few years. In future, when somebody asks me why do I love Norfolk so much I'll direct them to this video. You captured it so well!
I’ve just come across your channel Chris, fabulous footage. North Norfolk is in my soul having holidayed at Kelling since birth 55 years ago! I have to return every year for my sanity at least once. I’m revisiting for 2 weeks late September- early October and I’m counting down the days. The wildlife In the area is 2nd to none and I especially enjoy visiting Cley, Blakeney and Holkham with Sheringham a favourite town, like stepping back in time. This year I’m hoping to get some footage of Short Eared Owls, a species that has eluded me so far so with head up the coast to Burnham or Titchwell. Keep up the good work. 👍
Ah, I'm so glad I stumbled upon this. We go to holt every year, and sheringham and cromer. It is home to me as I love England so much. I'm so thankful for this beautiful video !!
FANTASTIC! I walked the Peddars Way in August, slept in the woods near Holkam, and explored some of the areas near there. You've just added lots of value to that.
Fantastic film Chris - you really captured the essence of the area. Nothing like an angry sea! I can't wait for things to open up so we can visit again from Colorado.
Once again a stunningly beautiful video, Chris. You have a way of understating to bring out the best in whatever you film. Very well done and thank you.
Very nice film. I've been all over England and the world, but never to Norfolk. I'm a keen snorkeler, so would love to come and do some snorkeling here
One day my young boys will hopefully be begging to go and see beautiful places like this again rather than staring at small animated screens. Your short movie has a beautiful balance of commentary and changing scenes. No better place in the world! Thanks
Visited North Norfolk for the very first time this weekend! What a stunning part of the UK. Really enjoyed finding this video when looking for elite info. Subscribed
What an amazing film, really showcasing your talent and the wonderful sights available in North Norfolk. Some amazing footage and a few experiences added to my list! Thankyou
Hi chris' I'm further up in bridlington and I have found loads of amber over the last few years. Now time to polish some pieces I have only found 1 with a tiny insect inside. Regards Brian.
Thank you Solomon, good point, I had meant to add that sort of info in the description section, will do it now. In the meantime the drone footage was using a DJI Mavic 2 Pro and I use Final Cut Pro X to edit (Apple only).
Beautiful photography. As a fellow photographer, I was sorry that the pace of the video did not give me sufficient time to enjoy some of your work. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable video.
Thank you Dawn - very valid point, I will aim to slow it down for future vids of this sort, I think we get so worried that we need to keep it snappy to hold people's interest (and keep the total length down) that we end up rushing through shots that deserve more screen time. Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated.,
