I am a professional baker and made something very close to this as a stuffing for my puff pastry shells when I took my exams a few years back - which had the theme "mediteranian". I added some sun-dried tomatoes and used fresh baby spinach. It was so good! This upload has inspired me to redo it at this time of year, thanks.

You can run warm water over your cream cheese brick to soften it up if in a hurry, after all it is sealed. Now the reason I discovered this was due to guests arriving in 20 min and I forgot to take it out lol it was for a different dish but still sometimes we forget.
