The end scene of 'The freshest kids' is great too but this scene is iconic, it's from that era. It's good to realise that electro was hip-hop music for a time,I heard that Crazy legs and the boys here were more into the Funk from the 70s but the director wanted them to dance to this. A great tune and scene
This is my life back in 84 in the Bronx. But watching this clip just remind me how bad cats needed to get a fade cut back then. Lol That's the giveaway of when you watching Hip Hop from the 80s and the 90s. Is the haircuts.
Technically, thars not correct ... Wild Style was releasedd the previous year in 1983, and has allelements of Hop Hop,as well, it's just that Beat Street did it bigger and better, with studio funding ...
I remember seeing this movie back in 1983 at the LEOWS movie theater on Grand Concourse in the BRONX, N.Y. This SCENE in the movie is CLASSIC, & IT STILL ROCKS!!!! THANKS to ALL the BREAK-DANCERS in this movie! 👍🏼👍🏼
RSC was very arrogant towards the NYCB. I always had this in mind when it comes to the RSC. Amazing movie, thrilling soundtrack! Makes me to hit the Dancefloor with some Helicopter moves
I used to have this on vhs and rewinded this part multiple times trying to practice these moves 😅 I remember how annoyed I got from the guy 'spitz' who ruined graffiti artwork in this movie
The best breakdance scene that I have ever seen

@@Jasongallierable My brother from across the pond.
Lost my cousin today and I came here now cause I'm reminiscing bout his breakdancing 👍
NYC Breakers definitely had this one.

80s BBOY4LIFE!✌🏽😎
The camera movement as they walk through the club is bad-ass. Looks like shit's gonna get serious...
Spot on
I've always loved that part. True.
And the way the DJ switched up the music from a regular jam to breakin music!
I would love to see the unedited version.
Feckin' Old skool !! Superb !! :o)
Puerto Ricans create all the floor routines
That shouldn’t be up for debate!

Beat Street came out in 1984.
@jimzafiriou7808 Yes, you are right it did come out in the Summer of 1984. I was off by 1 year for not looking it up.
What a movie 👏👏👏
Me,gusta,toda,música,80y,90👍🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Back to years when life was easier and much more calm. Oh to go back!
RSC was very arrogant towards the NYCB. I always had this in mind when it comes to the RSC. Amazing movie, thrilling soundtrack! Makes me to hit the Dancefloor with some Helicopter moves

I'm telling everyone that this is how it went down in the Paris Olympics.

This transformed across America after the movie
It hit the entire 🌎 like an atomic 💣
Word!
What a movie
NY class of 84
When it comes to music and dancing, brothers are really superior. I loved this movie when i was 10 years old.
I hoped to watch breakdance like this in JJOO
who win the battle ?
Every club in the 80's teens could get into
To ood memories
Classic scene. But what really exposed it all was Buffalo gals. Rememer that back in 82?
BUFFALO GALS RUNNING IN THE OUTSIDE, ON THE INSIDE
Jo 2024
Beat Street lost the battle though really didn't they... I didn't give a shit about that though when I was 13 🤘
I used to have this on vhs and rewinded this part multiple times trying to practice these moves 😅
I remember how annoyed I got from the guy 'spitz' who ruined graffiti artwork in this movie
Tak kiedys wyglądały dyskoteki, piekne czasy
No hate, but the central character of the dance crews in this movie was the weakest of the breakers.
HQ? It sounds terrible
Not to me....picture and everything better on my end.
You need to buy some Bose speakers or something.
15 year upload, man (12 years when your comment was made), it was def HQ for RUclips at the time
@YamashitaTsubasa nope, look at any video over 15 years old on here, way better quality
What a movie 👏👏👏
