The latest Franks motion also states that the phone was “accessed” at 4:33 which to me does not sound like it’s the same as “pinged” (two separate things).
If I made this video, I would do some research to make sure of the model of phone in question (5c or 6) and if the firmware installed was capable of that feature.
❤. Thank you!! That is very interesting!! Thanks for explaining it!! I hope you are right about the trial!! Hope it starts on the 13th as it should & that their is enough good evidence!! It will be so devastating for the families if he's declared innocent & everything has to start all over!!😢😢 But, if it does start on the 13th.... I'll have to choose between this trial & Daybell's I've been watching.... which to watch live, which to watch replay. I'm already doing that with other trials & more will be over lapping!! 😆 It's getting hard to keep up with everything!! Hope you are doing well!! I know you have been having health issues. Never forget who has the burden of proof. In reality Richard could likely convicted per gulls ruling, but as far as the public being able to be confident in the conviction, no. Conjecture and unsubstantiated things should not land a man a life sentence.
My initial theory... Phone barely functional, but a notification sent to the phone (or internal automatic function made just enough contact with a tower to register a ping) was successful enough to validate a ping, though not on a tower we'd expect due to coverage issues. 🤷🏻♂️
I totally agree! I love that you can help us understand the technology aspects of this case! So many channels are all in believing every little trick the defense tries to use but you use facts and logic. Honestly I only watch you (and Mr Steve) and one other channel now lol. I also believe that the prosecution has enough evidence.

The pings dont point to a specific area when near the bridge. This is proven by not only Libby's phone but also MR Steve of TrueCrimeWeb. To me this points towards the girls not moving from the scene, as if they did the girls would have probably pinged a exact location if moved more than a few hundred feet. If the girls were moved and the phone was not on them then why did the killer return them to a phone in dark forest. That doesn't make sense. The problem with the pings is the 4am ping as that is reported as someone switching the phone on. So either someone returned to the scene and switched the phone on and then placed it under abbey. Or Abbey turned the phone on herself and the phone evidence is whats pointing to Abbey being alive longer than Libby. Which I also dont believe. So I can only explain the last pings as being a technical aspect that as of now is not explained. Which makes more sense to me than the girls being removed and then returned to a phone in a dark forest whilst searchers are also in the area. That makes no sense to me.

Isn't that is ...(perhaps) "one" possibility ... of what could have caused a more accurate statement? Not what 'did' cause. If keeping the/a phone "hid" in a shoe/under a body PREVENTED any cellular connection to a cell tower (or phone placed in a Farley bag, fridge, what ever) for up to 12 hours ... then THAT would explain why no continuous or intermittant data. Dead/Dying battery or not. Sudden ping 12 hours later × 1 ... if nothing were moved/exposed/returned/checkeded/turned back on ... would not be explained by that theory. Here perhaps NOT likely (or maybe impossible) ... as evidenced by no cell activity prior x12 hours, with a sudden last ping FOR NO APPARENT OR OBVIOUS REASON; minus physically disturbed, ... (and found in a shoe under a body of a deceased non mobile person/environment).
The same arguments made here can be made to say that the phones cannot be definitively known to be there… per your own logic. No definitive time of death either. Sloppy police work.
now explain why the phone was found in the girls shoe at the crime scene. The pinging won't work there. There is no evidence on this guy but of course you have already showed your bias and really need to study the case more
@@batgirl4766 I have heard two versions of that . One was the phone was found under one of the bodies and then lately found in her shoe. Hardly important exactly where it was found. What is important is that we are supposed to believe the killer left the phone at the scene of the crime.
Rigor spasticity and or release of gases body may have moved or twitched post mortem at0433 am 12 hours after kidnap. Could it have triggered the phone, just a theory.

Makes sense.
If she had her why didnt she try to call 911 one tap with most phones.
Is there a tech reason so many people are skipping over the part about Libby’s phone being *accessed* at 4:30 and not just pinging?
I still don't know how that phone didn't get wet crossing the creek.
