Thank you for this wonderful interview. I am Japanese, but even in Japan, there are hardly any video interviews like this. I was happy. What I want people overseas to know is that Ryo uses very polite Japanese and speaks with respect to the interviewer. Even in interviews in Japan, he speaks slowly and carefully choosing his words. He is a vocalist of hard music and is like a beast on stage, but he is also educated, intelligent, and sensitive. I think he has a strong feeling boiling up in his heart and unleashes it at his live shows. It was an interview that gave me a lot of insight into him. Thank you.
This was a great interview. We learned a lot about him! This guy is my spirit animal lol. Same wide taste in music, video games and culture. I lived in Japan for collectively about 8 years and met my wife there. Love the culture. Glad he’s back!
its weird seeing ryo be shy. When hes on the stage, he takes that shit and owns it. He was an opener with crystal lake but ive never seen a crowd go berserk for the opener. Ryo staged dived and it was pure chaos
Yeah, he just shows up and destroys! There are not many bands out there delivering such energy on stage. Hope you get the chance to see him with Knosis!
I became curious when I read he is a Muse fan! He seems like a very thoughtful and kind person. What he said about screaming vocals and making sure you have a reason for screaming is beautiful. I loved that and can relate to him. For a long time I've played guitar to turn my negative emotions into positive emotions . I also meditate to work on that too! Thank you for the excellent interview! I could tell he enjoyed it and you really did your research. Its so sweet that he gave a mini scream vocals lesson ! I have a question for you if its okay to ask ! There's another Japanese metal band called Dir en grey who are touring in Germany in 2024 , are you going to see them too? They are one of my favourite bands of all time and I was lucky enough to see them in 2014 in Australia. It was and still is one of the best and most powerful concerts I have experienced in my entire life. They mean so much to me. And honestly they changed my life as a young person. I would highly recommend listening to them!! I am also a massive fan of the GazettE and they mean so much to me too. They both helped inspire me as a guitarist too . Of course we all have different taste and i respect that but I do wish i lived near Europe! Anyway if you're going to see Dir en grey, i wonder if they might let you interview them? I think their bassist Toshiya is quite friendly. I have never seen an English interview with their vocalist Kyo though. Your interview was so well done! Thank you for all the hard work. Also you speak Japanese very fluently!
Thank you for writing this long and nice comment! Dir en grey were the reason I started studying Japanese back in the days, so I really wanna go see them live again! 😍 Hope they'll tour Australia soon so you can see them again too!
I was touched to hear that Ryo feels a sense of purpose from singing and it sounds like music has helped to heal him in some ways. That makes me really happy because music helps me a lot too! It's so cool he worked with Nick Nocturnal I'll have to look it up!
@@_cocoroyal_ You're so welcome 🙏 . You come across as genuine and passionate. I like that :)! I used to study Japanese for about 10 years and intend to go back to it soon. Thank you so much, I'm hoping I can travel to Japan but it would be a dream come true if Dir en grey toured in Australia again ! I would cry a lot of happy tears ❤! I really appreciate your style of interview. Oh that makes so much sense! Kyo's lyrics are so complex and use a lot of kanji that are difficult to translate right? When I saw the song name Kamigurai or God eater, I thought of Ningen wo Kaburu by Dir en grey . I think that song is about eating humans? ( it's a frightening subject 😅!)
Awesome interview! Isn't he just the nicest? I died laughing at the glasses part. I always wear my contacts, but when I saw KNOSIS in December in Japan, I was unprepared for a Ryo stage dive in the first song. Pretty sure I got his shin to my face, and left with a bit of a bloody lip. But no angry email though 🤣🤣My fault for not being prepared. Great questions and thank you for this great interview :)
Never heard of Knosis before but I really like your interview style so I still watch it :D I'm gonna check out his music because he said he likes Dark Souls and Elden Ring :D
Sehr cooles Interview!
He is on God-tier level on stage when I even watched him perform with Crystal Lake back then. He is awesome and his vocals are insane. But he seems like such a nice guy and calm and down to earth..he is more comfortable now that he is in a design of his own making..being free to go crazy! His time! His style! 🙂🙂
He is such a cool guy....really....I'm so happy that he decided to do music again and share his amazing energy with us....
I know right!! So glad we have him back!

I was super bummed when he left Crystal Lake, but Knosis completely blows my mind every time I listen to it.
Ryo is too pure for this world man 😭 I'm loving Knosis and I can't wait to see what happens next
for real my heart is melting, this man needs to be protected at all cost
Ryo
Been listening to Metal since early 90’s and Ryo tops the list of the greatest vocalist. He has the energy of 100 men on stage

man, yosh is such a bro. props to him for bringing ryo back on stage 🙏🙏

Honestly I didn’t realize Ryo was in Knosis until now 😂😂 LOVING their sound. Great interview 🤘🏻
😂😂😂 I'm in tears! Thank you so much for watching!!
Such a good interview. Thanks for doing this and sharing with all of us!
Hearing that the inspiration for kamigurai was dark souls and elden ring gave me a huge smile

what a great interview coco, thank you.
Thank you!! 😊
Appreciate your amazing interview!! I enjoyed watching. Your Japanese is so excellent. I'm their fan from Japan and your new listener.
Thank you so much!!
I’m just discovering Knosis and I honestly can’t stop watching their music videos and shows. Amazing stuff, love it. Ryo is great 😊

Great interview. Can't wait for the upcoming Knosis album, recent singles were absolutely sick!
those who have knosis of japaneese language-u r awesome!
Geiler Typ!
Great interview! 🖤💜,

Damn, speaking Japanese like a boss. How many languages do you speak besides that and English ( and perhaps German, going from the title )?
Thank you! German is my mother tongue, I also speak English, Japanese and a bit of French
I dont like any of his new songs. I just want him to make music with crystal lake. Its so sad because everything was fitting so well..
