How To Make a Paranormal Touch Detector

- Just to say thanks again for all the love and support from all my Para-Friends out there, here is how to make a "Paranormal Touch" detector. This is a cheap and easy way to make a device that will detect if it is touched by anything that has an electric field or charge and it can be attached to metal trigger objects to detect if they are touched. This is not as sophisticated as the more expensive touch detectors that are on the market, including the E.Probe 2.0 that I make, but it will do the job and save you some money!
The DIY kit for this (model FK507) is available from Bakatronics.com. The assembled kit (model FA507) is available on Ebay. Happy Hunting!

This is a kit that comes with all the parts you need except the battery connector. I don't know where to parts in Canada, but they are easy to find online at places like Mouser Electronics or Ebay.
This is a Capacitive proximity sensor. Simpler ones use one transistor (npn) as a switch, and two others (pnp) back to back as signal amplifiers. The diode restricts the flow of electrons reversely. This model uses an IC, I'm guessing a lm324n or similar - though I've seen others that use a led lighting IC. I've seen really sensitive versions that don't even require direct contact with the metal wire. Sensitivity is based on the mode of switch and amplification. Those rem pods that cost 100.00+ retail are only worth about $5.00 in parts.

For a momentary touch device there are far simpler circuits out there that use very few components compared to this kit.
It would be better to connect a relay to it. Then you can connect an alarm of your choice.

I recently bought one of these and modified it just like you did I cannot stand the long tones might be good like you said if it was left in another room but I guess my question is have you ever tried putting this device inside of a trigger object such as may be a doll or a teddy bear and if so has it ever worked for you let me know what you thought is thank you
UNEXPLAINED PARANORMAL RESEARCH I have made similar trigger object devices, such as teddy bears and dolls that could detect EMF and touch independently. From my experience, the touch detectors were rarely triggered and, of course, the EMF detectors were frequently triggered.

I'd like to replace the loop with an antenna. Suggestions on how, would be great.
kbhoney1 It's pretty simple to change the loop for an antenna. Just unsolder the loop and solder the base od the antenna to the same point the loop was connected to.
you can get those battery connectors at the Source...$5 for 5 of them.
Great video and awesome device, but what is the copper coil for?
It's an electromagnetic induction coil. It creates a magnetic field and stores energy. Probably part of the sensor.

I search eBay for the Future Kit Fa507 and you have to order it from Thialand
You can buy door alarms from China on Ebay for about 3 bucks,you can get either a touch detector or a vibration detector.

Hi Jennifer. Yes these devices can be mounted in a box. Electronics parts stores and online sellers such as Ebay and Amazon have project boxes which can be used for that. Some even have internal compartments for a 9 volt battery. You would need an external 9 volt battery mount if there is no battery compartment in the box. You could add an on/off switch and even an LED and external antenna as well. There's really no limits to the modifications you could do to make your own REM type pod out of this.

Can i add more led lights to the board ?
You could add more LEDs but you would have to change the resistors on the LED circuit and keep the voltage low, so probably no more than 2-3 LEDs on this board.
Rich instead of the metal loop it there away to put in alligator clips?
Yes Art, you can replace the loop with a straight wire with an alligator clip on the end. Be aware that the longer the wire, the more sensitive the input. Too long of a wire will overload the input and cause the detector to stay in alarm mode and not reset. So about 6-8 inches of wire is probably best.
