Lol I'm still processing mine, though the worst happened as an adult for me (the trauma). Absolutely so very important to bring more attention to the process of what happens after the trauma, hell, some things people have to spend their lives trying to process, I know art for me has been one of the best things I've used to help along the way 😊 I love such creative inspiration, I've always been drawn to the more off the wall, out of the box, type of creative people too! Mental health and art, I just love it! 🥰

mmtruooao I don’t think it’s like a symptom, it just seems to be something a lot of us go through. At least for me, because it’s a personality disorder, it’s very easy for things I love to become sort of a “Ah! This is the thing that will define me from now on!” Kind of fixation.
Sophy Abud I am so glad she has opened up about BPD. I didn’t know what the fuck my problem was until she talked about it and a world opened up. I feel like a weight was lifted off me cuz. Uh. FUCKIN SAME 😂
@@mmtruooao8377 i might not be a great example or not the right one to try to explain it since im diagnosed with all 3 of those things, but i believe one of the main reasons people with bpd appear to hyperfixate on their favourite things/special interests is because we have a very unstable or lack a sense of identity. but an almost constant obsession with a specific thing or fashion or aesthetic helps me feel more stable in my identity and how i view myself?
i havent researched this online im just speaking from personal experience and observations so apologies if im totally wrong.
@@HELLSCAPER okay so that sounds okay for my autistic self, who displayed some symptoms of bpd in my earlier years. my hyperfixations now centre on being autistic, which. i'm no longer incredibly freaked out when i lose a special interest

I feel this on a deep level, this is about the same aesthetics journey I went through from dark colors and punk stuff to Lolita to like my current bubblegum aesthetic. As a grown ass woman I still drop back into that stuff. I now have a very pastel jean punk vest. :) I think I’m in the ‘I’m going to hand alter clothes that no one else wanted from (store) and add way too many handmade accessories and pastel cardigans” phase rn
