I was 5 years of chronic illness. Semi Housebound, lost my health, job, finances and my fiance left me. I couldn't even look at electronic screen for 5 minutes, or hold a 10-minute conversation.
But God did an amazing work. And if he can do this, he can do it in you also. 😇🙏
I now have a Christian Channel where I encourage people and show them what God did in my life and that there is hope for you also.

Lol I relate on so many levels. I am really loving this season of singleness and growing in it. Also I'm "controlling" in the same way. Not towards people, but about things being the way that I like, like with my home decor, style etc. because I just know what I want! Lol I try to see moments of compromise as opportunities to grow in virtue because it really isn't that big of a deal, it feels like it for me sometimes though haha :)

I am single, I live in India, I haven't been able to go to australia but God has taken to another part of the country where I work as a doctor in a small mission hospital, IAM the only doctor here now so it is beautiful as I get to make a difference, save lives but also filled with a lot of challenges but God helps me through it all..I certainly would love to come to australia someday, Hope and pray you meet the man of your dreams, May you have the favour of God and people wherever you go, You have a knack of making friends wherever you go, I belive you are woman beautiful within and out. I understand being particular. I can be that way too sometimes. Also, I just want to encourage you considering how you found your identity in singleness while you were single, and how you had plans in your singleness before you met Kyle. Based on a lot of what you said here, I get the impression that you're the type who likes to plan. But, I just want to encourage you that things happen the way they happen because that's how it was meant to happen. Remember that Isaiah 55:8-9 says that God's thoughts and ways are higher than ours. I think you know that, but, like I said, things were meant to happen exactly how the Father intended them to happen. So trust in Him. Trust He knows what's best even when you're unsure. I know that can be hard to do sometimes. I just know that if I could go back and talk to the version of Valerie that was so awash in disappointed hopes because things weren't going the way I wanted them to (not saying that's you, but it was me), I would go back and tell her, "please, just trust God. He's got this." That can be especially hard when we want things to go a certain way. Or when we think things should go a certain way - at some point we need to learn to humbly surrender to our Father and trust in His way. Just trust God. It is simple, but I know it isn't easy. But, if we could just learn to humbly surrender and trust God, that is where we get our peace that surpasses all understanding.

Don't feel too bad about the Australia thing. I wanted to move there for years, packed up my life, went there and absolutely hated it. 😂 No offence to Australia or Australians but it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. And not that great for back packers. The locals weren't actually as welcoming as you'd might expect, just my experience, the food is awful and it's super expensive. I just really didn't like it at all. 😂

I met my husband a month or two after I got out of a very serious and yet very emotionally abusive relationship. I wish I was single for a bit longer but God's timing is so beautiful! I am learning to not regret and live in the moment with my soulmate. I think it's important for young wives to see the beauty in themselves as well as being someone's other half.

Do you think that by avoiding All kinds of intimacy (even kissing) with your boyfriend before marriage, could possibly make you see him more as a friend, eventually?
I try to do the same as you if I'm in a relationship, but I imagine that after marriage I would find it kind of awkward or difficult being intimate with my partner in any way, as prolonging Non-Intimacy almost makes me process the other person as a friend, rather than partner, as I'm suppressing my intimate thoughts towards them the entire time. Does anyone else go through this as well? I read articles on Christian women getting married & then having real trouble getting intimate with their hubbies as they always grew up looking at sex as 'wrong' or 'dirty' whilst growing up Christian. Clearly God says it's a blessing in marriage but our minds can process things in the wrong way sometimes. God bless you Kian for all the lovely vlogs and keeping strong until marriage xx
I deifinitely feel you and have been concerned about this. Recently I’ve gotten more loose about being more intimate (still waiting for marriage ofc) and atleast for now I haven’t felt my heart heavy about becoming more strict. I feel like me and my boyfriend started off very friendly and learned to surpress our emotions to an extent, but also we were quite young when we first started hanging out.. Now I feel like we’ve cuddled more, kissed more (still trying to find the right balance for this so it wouldnt get too tempting/physical), and had super open conversations about being affectionate and trying to figure out a balance. I feel like saying sweet things and expressing your attraction verbally also will help a lot in not making you two feel like just regular friends.
@@lauraporthan8662 I feel like the subject isn't black & white & what works in one relationship wouldn't for another. Ultimately, we need to try & strive to keep God at the centre of our relationships. I feel the need for some intimacy, like kissing holding etc although I'm also aware things can quickly escalate. I think that when you're in love with someone & attracted to them physically, spiritually & emotionally, it would be difficult for anyone not to think of sex with that partner. We r only human. Some people make it sound very simple & easy with statements like "I don't even think about sex with my boyfriend" which is not realistic, as we r all battling against flesh & spirit & it brings guilt on others who feel shame for even thinking about it. Kian is truly blessed in this area. Boundaries r very necessary & I personally felt very convicted when I used to fall into any kind of sexual sin even though it wasn't sex itself. I wana make sure it's a God given conviction & not one of shame & guilt X

I love Kian’s content, she helps me strengthen my faith so much, but I just don’t know how I feel about the “being a submissive wife” part. I’m not trying to be judgmental at all, I just don’t think this is a realistic idea to have in 21st century. Hi, I don't think she meant in the way your thinking. A husband and wife is a picture of the relationship between Jesus and his bride, the church. When we submit to Jesus we let him lead. Plus the husband that's leading is also in fact letting Jesus lead too so yeah. There's nothing wrong with it especially if it's a godly couple doing it in the way of God
Hi Bella!! I could understand how it wouldn’t sit well with you and others to be submissive to a man. However, regardless what century we are living in, God is still the same God. People change, God does not. Society changes and what it deems appropriate is not always aligned with the scriptures, For example, today you have a lot of voices in the world telling us to live however you please, and don’t under any circumstance submit to a man. But if we look into scripture it says something different, “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,”
Ephesians 5:22-25 this is just one of the few places in scripture about submissiveness. Our aim as Christians is to please God not man, and to please God we need to obey His commandments. Another thing to consider is that when wives are being submissive to their husbands and husbands are loving their wives like Christ loves the church, they are giving the world an example of how the church submits to Christ and Christ loves the church and gave His life for the church. Why do you think there are so many voices in the world preaching against submissiveness? Because they don’t want people to see the example of the church and Christ and follow in that example. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. He doesn’t want marriages to last and people to experience the joy of Christ. He tries to deceive people into thinking that following the scriptures even if they don’t align with the reality of the 21st century, is a bad thing, when in reality it’s the best thing you can do. Following the lord isn’t easy, the flesh is weak and the way is narrow, but the narrow way leads to everlasting life. I hope this clears a few things up. I say all of this out of love. Be blessed! 💕
