You're welcome man. And you've been putting in the hard work needed so I'm happy to hear you're keeping the traction and progressing steadily! It feels slow when you look at it day to day maybe even week to week but compared to a few months ago I'm sure you're much better!
Thanks for what you do Miguel. I am still on this journey (Nearly there) and whenever I have a little set back your videos inspire and uplift me. I love the scientific approach you take.
Thank you so much for your videos! I just had a breakthrough in understanding that it's my brain that blew a fuse and has me stuck in survival mode. From here forward, I know that I can get better with each day, and your words are extremely helpful to hear...
I think we need to be very cautious with this line of thought. For years ME patients were told that it was all in their head and they needed to think themselves better. Science is saying otherwise now!! Where I do appreciate the benefits of keeping a positive attitude while enduring a chronic illness, you cannot think yourself better when your body has something physically dysfunctioning. Can you think a broken bone better? No. But you can keep positive about it.
Yup you're right! It's a lot more than just "thinking oneself better". Can't just ignore symptoms and carry on if there is an **ACTUAL ACUTE** cause behind the symptoms. If you have an actual mitochondria issue then that's a whole different story from what I teach. But for most people who identify as having CFS/Fibromyalgia, even if it's diagnosed but with no proof of a mitochondria issue, they don't have that. Most of the time it's a nervous system gone wild.
You actually can - look at Joe Dispenza, but it’s not easy…hypnotic suggestion helps. No doubt dealing with physical symptoms at the root can also help heal faster. Lots of scientific evidence on brain + activation of healing
@@cfsrecoverynormally the Mitochondrias are Dysfunktion too of you have cfs me. Toby Morrison has a special in it's Programm, Mitochondrias always are included in cfs me.
Thanks for the information. Got to learn that the brain puts us in survival mode through anxiety so that we avoid doing what we are doing (stressing ourselves). Once we are out of the hampster wheel we are able to function much better.
Hi Miguel, thanks for the videos much appreciated. I believe that the mental side of this condition plays a huge role in symptoms but how is PEM explained, or the onset of symptoms after activity, even when you felt completely calm and safe at the time of doing the activity?
T Wills whatup, for me I crack the code by not overdoing it,( I know it’s tough)it depends on what stage you’re at. Stop 🛑 while you’re still feeling good because once the symptoms comes around you’re body is saying that you’re overdoing it already. And that’s the time like what Miguel is saying to do the brain retraining right away and not be stressed bout the symptoms.
Hey great question! Even if you feel calm and completely safe at the time of doing the activity your nervous system is still being stimulated, therefore symptoms are being stimulated. It's actually really good that you're able to feel completely calm and safe at the time of the activity you just have to keep that same mindset AFTER the activity. Despire there being symptoms. That's how you rewire the nervous system, you don't fall for these false flags your body is giving you. Sounds like you're on the right track!
@@ericasanders9304 No, brain retraining will help get rid of chronic pain. Have you gotten your mitochondria tested and it came back positive that there's something wrong with it?

I have been trying something I recently learned on RUclips. I think it was from the Grateful guide (can’t remember if that’s the name). She didn’t teach it this way exactly but this is how I use it for myself. When I start to feel anxiety and it’s making me want to shut down and go into avoidance then I say to my amygdala, “I am reparenting you,” or, “I will reparent you.” It feels comforting and gives the brain the message that just because I was anxious and neurotic my whole life just means I wasn’t parented correctly and that there is a loving responsible parent part of me that is there and the old wifi g is a thing of the past. Anyways, I don’t know if that’s a good exercise to try but it’s been helping me. Hopefully it will last. Good luck. 💚

There are many people with me/cfs that are at a different level of ability to you. You are not in a position to undiagnose someone. There are 3 different function abilities in me/cfs, emotional exertion, physical exertion and mental exertion. In recovery we often see people swap out their abilities leaning more towards different ability at different time. Ensure you are not setting yourself up for failure by believing you will have the worst outcome when expanding into conversations etc. It takes so much time. You are right. Your body does not have that energy to even feel, you are numb, but you will move through that, just be mindful of your beliefs and be okay with even for months at a time having no ability. Practice gratitude everyday. I hope you improve soon and hold faith x
