I remember driving at night with my magna a couple of years back. There was a cow in the road that I narrowly missed. I stopped driving at night, too dangerous. Glad your rig will get repaired!

You are RIGHT , NEVER SWERVE FOR ANYTHING ON THE ROAD. Maybe put on the breaks, BUT NEVER SWERVE, YOUR OWN LIFE AND THE LIFE OF OTHERS DEPEND on YOU KEEPING CONTROL. This is the one thing ALL NEW DRIVERS MUST BE TOLD. As the natural instinct is to try not hit something this needs to be DRILLED into new drivers. CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS Steve h.

Yup, stuff happens on the road! I was rear ended in May and the guy took out the right rear corner in our HR. Couldn’t get it repaired right away so got out the grey tape and red-necked it for 3 months! Stay safe everyone! Good to have you back Brian!

Hey Brain, that’s a bummer on the coach, but like you said it could have been worse. Thankfully you have the knowledge and resources to get her fixed. I have traveled a many miles at night across the country when long haul driving and close calls. That’s funny you mentioned stopping at Williams California, i used to live there in the 60s as a kid went to grade school there and had relatives that had a restaurant and auction yard there years ago. We are originally from Idaho and been here since. Love your coach, you inspire me to keep upgrading my coach a 1998 American Dream. Maybe we can meet up some time on the road! Safe travels and good luck !

Shop is cleaning up nice and the drive/parking area is sure looking a lot better. Glass work will wait until it warms up or you get the stove fired up. Never swerve to miss anything smaller than you are. Well, maybe an elk.

That looks like the left front on my 98 Magna. I did my coming out a parking lot turning right but the dip from the parking lot to the street was too much and the right front in hit the road.

In 1968 when I started driving that's one of the first things my dad taught me was not to swerve grab the wheel and hold on tight.

You had me worried when I heard you say wreck Brian! I thought you were gonna be in my situation, an actual collision with another vehicle. I just bought my RV and it was finally time to fly down to Florida to pick it up and drive the 500 miles back to NC. I made it within 60 miles of home and after 3 breakdowns on the road, I was ready to be home and in a warm bed! I was coming through Moore County NC which had just had three power substations shot up by Russian Terrorists trying to spread misinformation, lol, so the entire town I was coming through had no power and no traffic lights. After stopping at nearly 50 lights as 4 way stops, I was on my way out of town when a car was leaving a housing development to my right and I could see the car stopped at the intersection, then she would pull out 5’ or so and stop again, then she’d pull out again and stop. I was braking and trying to stop but it was a bit of mist in the air and i couldn’t just slam the brakes and as I got closer, she pulled out and never stopped this time. By that time I had already turned to the left to cut across the intersection to try and avoid her. And my speed was down to about 20mph at that time but i hit her with my front right corner and hit her in the front left fender and it was more of a glancing blow instead of the classic T-bone thank goodness. No one was hurt but they did take the woman and her husband to the hospital for evaluation since they were 87 years old. My rig sustained the exact same damage as yours except it’s much worse than just cracked fiberglass and a stainless trim panel, etc. It’s definitely repairable, but it’s not gonna be as easy as yours. I’m gonna need to either get it on a frame machine or hook the tractor to a couple points that got pushed back a bit. The worst part is the corner of my bumper was pushed into my door jamb at the bottom and snapped my btm door hinge and I think the jamb needs to be pulled about a 1/4” at most.
It’s gut wrenching man!! I’m 58 and never had a wreck in my life and now I have this happen on my way home from buying it! I’m not sure what to do now

I love your bus. I am thinking of looking at a 96 Intrigue Gillig in TN now for $45k. Can you give any hints on what to watch out for? I know it has an 8.3 Cummins. This would be our first motorhome after two TTs.
