TEA!!! LOL Looks like it is time for one of those margarita mixers with a gas engine on it like we used to use as teenagers at Lake Mead outside of Vegas growing up! Woo Hoo the good old days!

cleaning the radiators and condensers is very important on these cars. showing this is not trivial and a great service to the 996 community. thank you

Hi mate, those condensers are on flex mounts so feel free to undo those 10mm bolts and just carefully slide the condensers out slightly to give to access to the crud stuck between that and the radiator(s), good work, really enjoying these vids

Enjoying this build. Took the front off my Boxster recently and condensers were full road grime so worth good clean out, aircon seems to be better now. Nothing wrong with a mug of rosy lea! 😎

Check under the hood of the car and see if it has the options sticker if it doesn’t have the sticker under the hood it’s probably been replaced. Great videos can’t wait for more!!!

I have a 99' 996 C2 cab and I just did this service myself just 5 days ago. Holy hell was there stuff packed in there! There was a literal wedge of just crap on the passenger side one. I took the condensers off too and couldn't believe how much stuff was in between them and the radiator...just unreal!
If you haven't put the front bumper back on yet I'd highly advise to clean between the a.c. condenser and radiator...alot more stuff gets in between than expected

Team , when one guy has a garage and lift , another knows how to take an engine apart and another has a full toolkit and all work together to compliment each other and develope Don’t undervalue tea breaks if the timing and cookies are just right

Jack Shaheen Originally I just wanted to boost James a bit as he was downing himself too much. He’s brought the garage and lift to the party plus his channel ( for an Englishman he’s not the worst ) 🙏

Jack Shaheen I never touch it but I know it’s fabulous. I stay in Argyll west of Glasgow and the Island of Islay nearby Is home to a lot of distillery sites, it’s know to be peaty flavoured

Morning guys, I'd consider too, painting those radiators a flat black or your choice with radiator paint. More of an OCD thing, seeing shiny silver slivers (

They make a cleaning fluid for radiators, its a spray on, let it sit, use water to remove. Don't get it on you paint. Have seen it used, and you would not believe the amount of dirt, grease etc that it lifts off the surface of the radiator. Give it a try and see what you think. Simple Green.

You really need to remove the condenser away from the radiator to get them cleaned because ALOT of stuff gets caught in between them. Awesome vid bud!

Agree. if separated you can blow compressed air From BEHIND thru them to do it right.

You are going to love the Fister exhaust mod. Did it on my 996.2 and it sounds awesome!

I really need to do my radiators. I'm still nervous about taking the bumper off, but if the Auto Amateur can do it... ;-)

It looks like you need a Mitsubishi split A/C system in your garage. Easy job, a lot of guys here in Florida use them.

Nice job James! When you guys drain and flush the coolant, it might be good to remove the radiators and condenser, and pressure wash them to remove all the small grit and dirt. See: rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/946595-radiator-cleaning.html .

I just replaced both rads and condensers due to corrosion. Perhaps you got the bumper back in place. If not, I recommend cleaning the condensers and rads with an Air Conditioner Foaming Coil Cleaner. You will be surprised all the dirt and grime that rinses out. Cheers!!!

Not seeing any hidden bodywork or frame work in there either...bonus.... you just never know but clearly no surprises here!

Hate to be a party pupa but those fins really need to be straightened out and all the little bits of sand and what not between the fins need to be blasted out from the backside of the radiator with air, and as for getting that far the poor condenser needs to be shown some love as well with the air hose.
No disrespect intended but if you guys are gonna half ass the job it’s probably better to do it off camera. Some of us do our own work and have already been where you are going. 👍🏾

Not approved, you should allways loosen the condensers and jig them out a little and remove all the dirt in between, dosent hurt to use a water-hose in additon to vacum, you did the same mistake on your 997
