Thanx for the great demo and XL programming skills. Now I know this machine has actually got a much wider scope to its pallet of sounds than most of the demos on RUclips have shown me so far. Bravo
Just add cool space-ships & a mind-bending story. Dang just got a TR-08 but this has individual outs, midi & clock has synch covered, all-analogue ... perfect in an analogue hardware studio. Wonder if mini-jack & 1/4” can run out simultaneously. Nice chilled vibe ...
When you connect up one of the individual outs with a 3.5mm cable, it takes that sound out of the 1/4 main output, which is what you would want in most cases IMO.
oh man pls stop tempting me, I just pre ordered the deepmind 12 now i see this vid showcasing this beast, this is the best vid i seen so far showing this drum machine off.
The drumbrute has so many different uses that if you cannot come up with anything to do with it don't blame the machine blame your mind set. Everybody been making house and techno beats with this machine but don't limit yourself to those genres so much you can do with this and it is so affordable plus there are two other drumbrutes in this line that are cheaper than this original one
I got very lucky and was able to purchase this machine brand new on a Christmas sale at guitar center for $300.00. deal of the year next to a brand new octatrack MK II from sweetwater for $999.00
The best Drumbrute videos by far! I am making downtempo/ambient'ish tracks with beats and have been considering this piece of gear, I think i'm sold on it after watching this. btw are you processing any of the drum sounds here or it raw brute?
Hello Chris! I'm aspiring to making film scores, if you were to reccomend me something to have alongside the prophet 12, what would it be? A drum machine or the tempest? I feel like the tempest would overlap with the 12 in terms of its synth mode.
Hey Bruno. I feel that for film scoring, a drum machine is the last thing you should get - there's only one groove and that's the rhythm of the film. Of course there are types of scores that need groove based music but, if aspiring to make scores, maybe check out something else to use as a sound source - the Microbrute is cool for example.
hey, this is just midi sync'd through usb. i wrote the track in protools then played the drumbrute in live. so it's not really that complicated i guess. here's a walkthrough of another track but the same process: ruclips.net/video/yoVniQsfH-c/видео.html
Thanks Sandor! There's a lot of Prophet 12, a Rhodes 54, a Mark 6 Soprano Sax, and lots of UAudio plugs basically - i think i used the Moog Filter a lot on this one... Oh and some Spitfire Audio strings in there near the end... I think Soundtoys Decapitator is on everything too.
It's great to hear more alternative electronica - or whatever you'd call this. You should check out Digital Sea by Thrice... Not similar, but same vein!
How is this racism? Did you feel good typing that? Like you are some hero defending against some evil racist who thinks a majority of videos with this drum machines are house music and a majority of house music is created by and listen to by white people? Why is being white and listening to bad music racism? I just like that this guy shows what the drum machine can do in different styles of music besides house.

Most people was and still is bashing the DrumBrute... but here is a very good example of what it can do! Very nice!
Thanks man.
The drums are the weakest part of the track.
Love this track. That second Drumbrute kick sound is great.

+Mox thanks man!
Christopher White please don't stop the DrumBrute vids! I bought one because of you.
Man, you making it very hard for me to not to buy this baby 😎👌great work.
I like this beat so much, i would love to get that rhodes sounds but i don't have a real one, what would you recommend it?
Hey Andrés. Thanks very much. I think everyone should have a Rhodes if possible.
Wow... was this ALL drumbrute? Amazing piece.
Just read your description, Rhodes, soprano sax, and wow a DS Prophet 12. It's bliss congrats having the acquired instruments.
I knew this thing actually sounded good if you level it right. Very deep shit man, I like..a lot!
Thanks gooney. appreciate it.

btw are you processing any of the drum sounds here or it raw brute?
Thanks I appreciate it. Pretty much raw drumbrute apart from compression. I use a bit of the Brute Output filter cutoff too..
Wow!🎉 😮 Is it only the drumbrute or are there any other instruments used on this track? 😊
Hello Chris!
I'm aspiring to making film scores, if you were to reccomend me something to have alongside the prophet 12, what would it be?

Oh yeah, I thought that a drum machine would make sense in arpeggiated ostinatos.
Which controller do you use? Would you reccomend a roli seaboard?
Bruno Carneiro A lot of RAM and hardisk space on your computer and the sweet of Eastwest Plugins🎹
Hey Chris! Are you using the Brute to send out MIDI sequence at all in this clip? Or are these all samples in the Brute?
Hey Nathan. All the drum sounds you hear come from the brute. There’s no midi coming out.
Can you talk about your sync setup, is this MIDI or CV?
hey, this is just midi sync'd through usb. i wrote the track in protools then played the drumbrute in live. so it's not really that complicated i guess. here's a walkthrough of another track but the same process: ruclips.net/video/yoVniQsfH-c/видео.html
Good work - what gear are you using for the other sounds?
Thanks Sandor! There's a lot of Prophet 12, a Rhodes 54, a Mark 6 Soprano Sax, and lots of UAudio plugs basically - i think i used the Moog Filter a lot on this one... Oh and some Spitfire Audio strings in there near the end... I think Soundtoys Decapitator is on everything too.
I did a sort of walkthrough film for another one of these Drumbrute vids which may be enlightening: ruclips.net/video/yoVniQsfH-c/видео.html
It's great to hear more alternative electronica - or whatever you'd call this. You should check out Digital Sea by Thrice... Not similar, but same vein!
I'm listening to Thrice now. I like it. thanks!
why snare sounds like hat?
Wich software do u use for the base? Is connected usb or midi outline?
Hey Ser. I wrote the track in Protools first, then played the Drumbrute along with it. Does that answer your question?
always mono or separate tracks ?
always mono at the moment. thinking of getting around to separating at least the kicks but haven't yet. quite like the simplicity of just mono.
Chris White with the separed outputs of the drumbrute you could have a nice mix ! your music deserves it
Coolfreax cheers. i'll get on to it. thanks!
Finally someone using things in a none house/whiteboy dance environment. Thank you.
E Bones great another moron using skin colour in he's limited opinions...
house/whiteboy???

E Bones thanks i agree they always have that edm crap or corny sounding beats, i want to hear some boom bap out this though
E Bones the difference is you mentioning skin colour ... but I'm sorry i don't talk with troglodytes
the kick on the drumbrute is poor, not very good
It is hard to work with sometimes.
nice ambient tones, shit drums.
Found this searching for a drum machine. Amazing sound and great demo. Thanks for sharing👍
Glad you like it!
