Anytime I have stick I just color the part of the blade that interfaces the lock with a pencil. Worked on my TR3 and my Bugout.

Love the looks of this knife. Cool you can get it easier than the malibu. Great disassembly!

I think the proper size bearings for the Mordax is the 3/16ths. Most American made knives use imperial size bearings like 3/16 or 1/4. Asian and Euro knives typically use the metric 5mm bearings. The 5mm bearings might work but the pivot hole in the bearings will be larger than the pivot pin on the Mordax which could allow them too much play causing the action to act funny sometimes.

Love the looks of this one but still kinda on the fence about hunting one down. Seems a bit finicky and patience is not something I have a shit-ton of. Skiff bearings are definitely a worthwhile addition. I have put them in 3 knives and have noticed an improvement in all three.

Hardware: Torx (including pivot, replacing the 1.5 mm hex pictured) I think they may have changed the pivot on newer versions 👊🏼

I still use torx but I do worry about striping them.

Great Video! I have a Steel Will Modus in M390. I picked it up at Blade Show 2019. I carried it for a while and then back in the knife box it went. I pulled it out for sharpening and the action was really crap. So... the bearings inside appear to be real crap and the lubrication looked a lot like dirty car bearing grease. Cleaned up and re-lubed with KPL heavy and it was much improved. That said the action is still just ok. The bearings it came with are steel and look very cheaply made. How do I determine what to order from Skiff Blade works? Measure the pivot diameter and the height of the bearing cage with calipers? Is it a good idea to buy two "close" sized pair? It would be a lot of fun replacing the bearings in the knives I own that have them. For $12 or so per pair this is not crazy expensive.. Great video. Thank you, hope to see you at Blade Show 2021. : )

Hey man. Yea measure the pivot diameter and then the overall diameter of the bearing pocket. Also the thickness comes into play sometimes but most are 1/16” i bought a few different ones the first time and just started figuring it out. A lot of Chinese made knives and even American made take the 5MM 1/16 and second is the 1/4 1/16. Try those if u don’t want to deal with measuring
