태강원태권도 TaekangwonTaekwondo yes Sir. You’re help us a lot, helping us with the practice of details of techniques and remembering things of each instruction... Kamsahamida!!!
Thank you very much for the educational video Sir, I’m going to repeat and rewatch over and over to get better! I have 1 question master! When you “tense” on the ap chagi should the head and chin be tucked in close to your body? I’ve noticed your Poomsae does this and certain other masters but at high level poomsae competitions, National athletes do not do this. Instead, they throw the kick really high beyond their head. This looks nice and impressive but I think is not proper technique as they miss the target by going 180. Degrees and beyond. Their body does not look stable as they are looking upwards to the sky, unlike the way your stableness does with the chin tucked. Is the head position being tucked in used to help with the practitioners’ balance, stability and to be more accurate with the kick, or for another reason? Many thanks Sabomnim, Gamsahabnida!
When the chin is lifted, the center collapses, so you have to pull the chin and look at the front as well. The reason is the stability of the body. For every action, the process is important. This is because the motions that the process is not correct are just shapes and do not contain the purpose of the technology.
