This was a very well rounded broad based interview that captures SMB in a positive light. I have watched many since the early days and as Mike says it didn't realize what he was getting into at the start. This is true for most hardworking entrepreneurs when they get started in a new business. This is also true , especially true for people that want to learn to
trade successfully. The 10,000 hour rule is just the beginning, you better be hungry.

Not having too much of an opinion. Have a thesis. Look for a setup in your playbook. Look for confirmation on the tape then fight for price. Those were the key points for me.

Excellent interview! Very revealing info. One thing he said was striking when he said that peole cant cut their losses. He said his view point was that "you cant" that is why they have guard rails in place.
Licensed 2 style cutting losses is an absolute must!

I enjoyed this video . Nice to hear some realistic statements on how long it can possibly take to be a profitable trader. l just got through reading The Disciplined Trader Developing Winning Attitudes by Mark Douglas. Great read that focuses on not to trade on fear because it can distort your perception on what you are seeing and also when to get in and out of trades. People you lose a big chunk of their account tend to start to trade in fear. What Mark Douglas book says you have to take your losses as a learning experience and log it down and study what you did wrong and move on. If you trade on fear of losing you money you will tend to get out of the trade too soon or you will never pull the trigger on the buy in and get in late. Have a trading plan and stick with it even if you lose the first few trades. Start out with small trades. I'm just starting to day trade and know this will be a long learning experience to get good at it. But I'm in for the long haul because i fascinated by the Markets.
