To go from Spirit Squad to Moondogs who were in the WWF/territory era, to the Yukon Lumberjacks who were WWWF then to Brothers of Destruction was such a trip
Happy Belated Thanksgiving Stache Club Wrestling, I hope that you all had a great Turkey Day!! I literally grew up watching wrestling from the age of 6 in 1991 to the age that I am right now which is 39. The British Bulldogs, Money Inc, and the Moon Dogs all were wrestling teams established in the 1980's and early 90's.
The only one I was questioning was "Smoking Gunns." I figured it was either going to be them or the New Age Outlaws. With the British Bulldogs one, there was a team called "The Pitbulls" that were tag team Champions, but that was in ECW, not WWE/F; they briefly competed in WWF, but never held gold there.
Fantastic quiz- Yukon lumberjacks and moon dogs... never heard of them, but got all the others. I would love to see this done with AEW tag teams, or even teams in general
This is probably the quiz I’ve done the best in so far. I got all of them apart from Bludgeon Brothers and Yukon Lumberjacks. Pretty pleased with that.
Had to pause it at Natural Disasters just to comment. Lol Y’all are young. I can’t believe John got Demolition!! I’ve always thought y’all need someone in their 40’s-50’s to get these older references.
For the others yes but even younger people should know about Demolition. Think during The New Day and The Usos tag team reigns they mentioned them a couple of times for breaking their records of longest reign. Though younger people might be more familiar with The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom.
Damn, I was so excited. I thought I was going to get my first AI sweep city until I ran into Yukon Lumberjacks lol This was an awesome quiz. Covered most all eras.
18:32 My guess was Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan. The beards and they both wore a lot of flannel then. Fun fact: the one standing up, Lumberjack Eric, wasn’t even Canadian. That’s Scott Irwin, the older brother of “Wild” Bill Irwin. He was from Minnesota.
Moondogs is ridiculously obscure even for me, who's been a wrestling fan since the mid '80's. eta: and then they hit you with Yukon Lumberjacks, a team I couldn't even have named. I at least had heard of the Moondogs.
The British bulldogs are a legend here in UK, one team we look up to in wrestling, as great as the Dynamite kid was, Davey boy Smith was my favourite, I'm happy I got that one right
I thought of The Natrual Disasters, but I didn't remember if they won the gold. That quiz outside the last 2 out pictures before the wager wasn't too bad.
I was so close to a sweep city until that last one, I’ve never even heard of the Yukon Lumberjacks… I guessed the Highlanders, I can’t remember if they even had tag titles though.
OMG i was screamming at the screen its the natural disasters and when dante said it i was like come on he will come around and remember but nope and i loved his reaction when it was wait the NATURAL DISASTERS
The British Bulldogs were Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid. Davey Boy copyrighted the name British Bulldog without telling Dynamite and returned to WWF on his own.
I know Natural Disasters because of WWE 2K17, they were on the game and I had a universe with only 80s wrestlers. Most of my knowledge of 80's and early 90's WWF comes from that game. I went on a binge watching old WWF tapings after playing the game.
