Hi everyone, I just wanted to thank those of you who shared concerns about my collaboration with Organic Basics. After hearing these I spoke with the brand, and after addressing concerns about their acquisition by Delta Galil they reassured me that they still operate with the same commitment to sustainability and ethical practices as before, and they also stated that they do not have any manufacturing or sales operations in Gaza or the West Bank. As a result, I now feel confident continuing this collaboration, but if you have any further questions or information I’ve not come to be aware of yet please do let me know as I’m always happy answer them or to make changes to who I do and do not work with in light of new information. 🤍
Ruby noooooo : (( it's not just a question of if they literally operate out of Gaza or the West Bank (that would obviously be atrocious, but IMO that's way too low of a standard to hold). It's about ending international support for Israel and pressuring them to comply with international law. One of the most effective ways everyday people can do this is by boycotting Israeli companies (which includes Organic Basics because Delta Galil is headquartered in Tel Aviv). Apartheid in South Africa literally ended because of a movement of people (starting in London just like you!) who encouraged citizens not to buy South African products. Please please reconsider working with organic basics in the future & especially reconsider doubling down on it like you did in this comment
I replied to Ruby's comment but I want to post this again for anyone thinking about buying from Organic Basics after seeing this video. Organic Basics saying that they "do not have any manufacturing or sales operations in Gaza or the West Bank" is borderline irrelevant and does not mean you should feel comfortable supporting them. That's an incredibly low bar that they've set for themselves. It's not just a question of if companies literally operate out of Gaza or the West Bank (though that would obviously be atrocious). loved every single outfit, you never miss ! but I would really encourage you to rethink your collaboration with Organic Basics as it is Israel owned and it’s founder and chair is a known zionist. Honestly think it’s very disappointing to platform this kind of products, especially with what is going on in the world right now… I usually press the like button in all of your videos but this is impossible to support. Hope you are doing good and you have the heart and patience to think about who you choose to align with. All love
