Drive Through Alexandra Town Centre, Central Otago

It's known as the hottest, driest and coldest town in New Zealand, and it's because of those extremes that Alexandra, in Central Otago, is a popular destination for national and international visitors. I'd love to live here someday. As an American, ever since I was a kid and learned that the southern hemisphere had reversed seasons to ours, I wanted to experience it. But I was never able to find a place that wasn't very similar in summer and winter until really looking on a map and finding this city. Cold snowy Julys and hot Decembers with flowers blooming in October and leaves turning colors and getting ready to fall in April. So cool!!! 😍

I lived & worked in Alexandra back in the 90s work for Nigel Hinton orchard on Blackman road worked there for 2 years
