    Hi Aggie, the steamers are good, I’ve got one and they are brilliant for gels and soft tips they seem to be more gentle for the nails 💅 Have a nice weekend xxx

      No they were no where near as dry as when I soak them in the acetone

    That steamer was great hun but I'm the opposite to you I don't like using acetone to soak off I just file down to my protective layer but with that steamer there not really sitting in the acetone are they so winner winner chicken dinner 🤣😍😘

    That worked really well!!! I might have to consider one for quicker take-offs to do videos or go to work.

    This looks spot on. When you are finished can you pour back the acetone into a bottle and reuse. I only plan to use this myself so no issues of cross contamination

    Shellac cnd gel is the easiest to remove. It’s the only gel polish that doesn’t require you to scrape the top shine off!

    This is very cool thank you so much for sharing this 👍❤️😊💅🏼would this do polygel also??

    • @UnpolishedbyAggie
      @UnpolishedbyAggie  3 года назад

      Only if its a soak off polygel but most polygel is file off I think.

  • @daniellemebert8949
    @daniellemebert8949 Год назад

    I tried this on a gel manicure that was filed down. In about 8 minutes, I was able to scrape the gel off all nails except my thumbs, which took an extra soak. The apparatus does not get very hot and I am doubtful that this would work as advertised on dip powder. I would prefer to go back to putting an acetone soaked paper towel in a bag and submerging it in hot water to remove dip powder nails and feel like it didn't save much time over the old cotton ball and aluminum foil method for removing a gel mani. It had much higher hopes regarding this product's effectiveness.

    I got one of these nail steamers recently and the removal is going great. However, I'm having issues with reapplication of gel polish. My polish keeps popping off or lifting. Do you have any suggestions to avoid this problem after steaming?

    I have this exact steamer, had it for a couple of years and still don't know what W means but I did notice it starts to get cooler when it switches to W. Also not had to change the rubber bits yet. I find it really good for just gel polish, but very slow for polygel etc xxx

    Did it emit a strong smell? Did any polish get on the finger hole thingies?

    • @UnpolishedbyAggie
      @UnpolishedbyAggie  3 года назад

      Surprisingly the hole thingies didn't gunk up because it's not all gooey because I'm not in the actual liquid/acetone, they came out quite dry, you can remove them to clean as they're silicone and it comes with spares. And no it didn't emit a smell at all, no more than having the acetone bottle open on your desk, I honestly really couldn't smell it
