after doing tests in simu breach surge does work but under specific situations "this is becouse of how kullervo's 3 works": becouse kullervo's 3 shares the "display dmg" u deal u can make breach surge work just by linking a weak enough enemy to start the rump up. other ways to make it work are either link an enemy weak to rad or use enough universal buffs to make it rump up anyways also some more fun ways to abuse kullervo : mind control , blood altar and well of life can be chained to enemies and deactivated to nuke everything with built up dmg . as for exodia force memes : zephyr pretty much scales it to similar levels of pre nerf garuda
His kit is just so much fun, and it's just sad to see all of it being overshadowed by the people in the WF forums constantly complaining about how not having access to shield-gating makes him useless, because he can be one-shot in two hour SP survival missions or something... Though, to be fair, the same applies to SP Circuit after a couple of rounds, so he really could use some survival tools there, but I digress. Being nigh-unkillable in standard and most SP levels while having some of the most fun nuking interactions in the game should be enough.
Kullervo is such a cool frame. I like his abilities and his design a lot. It's just a balancing nightmare. He's got some of the best damage potential in the game, but his survival and toughness is some of the worst. His overguard only stacks up to 5k, which is pathetic. And as a pure HP frame, he can never benefit from shield gating. It's just a shame how easily he can get shredded at high levels, requiring monumental defensive investment that most frames don't have to put up with. I remember someone joking that a rank 1 arcane (I forget the name right now) gives you more EHP than his 2 does. It's a shame.
I have Breach Surge for the defense but the Reave one looks fun. 😊 Triple Umbral/Adapt, Fleeting/P.Cont, Overextended/Stretch, Guardian/Augmented. I don't do level cap and this already goes to the point where pugs start dying in SP circuit, so no need for more. Running Tenet Grigori and his sig shotgun rn. Think I'll try to get a combo efficiency/combo gain riven for grigori so 1-tap-12x after a heavy with the shotgun is more reliable, and a multishot riven for the gun for the same reason.
Been thinking to myself that Kullervos kit seems like stuff that Ash should have gotten to some extent lol. That 1 is definitely going to my Ash's 3. Now if they could fix the speed of Ash's ult we would be good.
That’s all too true. I think if you have a fast hitting melee equipped though you can speed up the animation of Ash’s 4 which makes it much more practical to use.

Except right now he seems to be bugged and for now it does benefit from more than 50% speed and some other things, but that likely won't last
If breach surge doesnt work anymore, it was nerfed, or bugged already. I tested it on first day, and the result: 1 shot with any weapon = infinite scaling hits killing everyone. I have a video of this uploaded here, you can visit it if you want but i wont link it here cause i dont wanna advertise.

No it doesnt, but it basically hits for true damage which ignores the armor. So for instance, if the first enemy in the line has no armor and you hit it for 50k, that 50k will be spread to the rest and hit their HP regardless of armor or damage mitigation...which is nuts considering how hard he crits in the first place.
Probably you'd go for Larva or Airburst to ragdoll them and stack finishers for Melee Crescendo these days...and then just 12x forever. But yeah, Radial Blind, Muzzle Flash are good. Edit: and Silence too, since he likes range and decent duration.
Loving his kit so far but DE desperately needs to give him better survivability. Either 'fix' the Overgaurd mechanic to allow mods to effect its durability, make the Overgaurd cap greater, or create more instances to generate Overgaurd. While i enjoy playing him he feels like a powerful, yet squishy noodle in SP.
Also.. Never understood how most people need shield gating just to hit level cap or just to survive. You can level cap with anyone if you build accordingly

Earlier today I was farming Kullervo. I placed the Komorex and the Karyst Prime in my loadout for some reason. I guess my sub-conscious mind saw something my conscious mind did not.
You hit multiple enemies and transfer damage from each of them, so by hitting multiple enemies you're doing more damage to everyone that's marked than you would if you were hitting only one enemy with the same damage. Beneficial, but not weird. Same as any aoe weapon
I was listening until you said snipers can be used to do big damage... Then I was watching with delight as I have rivens to like 5 of the best snipers in the game. I think my 100 percent CRIT Perigale could be interesting.
You do a lot of numbers and stats I like this. Can you confirm for me. His armor is not reading correct. Put 100% steelfiber on and it should go to 1300 armor, yet it goes to 975. Which means it's reading 487.5. Am I missing something here. Thanks for your time.
He actually has 325 base armor, not 650. He uniquely gains an extra 325 armor for…some reason. And it acts like bonus armor % as a mod similar to steel Fiber, rather than innate armor. It’s like how Nidus gains power strength as you level him up, or Harrow having +100% initial energy filled. They are considered extra stats and not part of the base.
Can you say anything more about surviving with the sniper build? Especially with the Lanka? I know, Tharros Strike, Shooting Gallery, etc. I just don't understand how it's still not very dicey while looking down a scope and charging up Lanka. I love the weapon too, but I have a hard time using it in most of the game on frames that aren't very tanky or very invisible.
The main point is you don't have to look down the scope. You hipfire that lanka setup because all link damage is considered scope damage even without scoping.
I run guardian, hunter adrenaline, quick thinking and (P)Flow. It works wonders. Pair it with an ability to heal (or your 2) and you rarely die on base SP up to 2 hours of survival SP
i'm still surprised his overguard wasn't hotfixed to apply dmg reductions he suffersfrom what everyone suffers, great damage but by the time it matters you die unless you pseudo-exploit game mechanics
Wow, I haven't gotten this Warframe yet due to not having enough of those cacti to craft his parts, but I will definitely try out one of these builds when I get him. I can't believe I'm saying this but my favourite Warframe might become someone who can't shieldgate. Also please don't nerf this DE.

Exodia force and pillage/thermal sunder garuda is my favorite garuda nuke. Her talons from seeking scales off that and scales off heat

I like Warcry on him, the added 1000 Armor really helps and makes him more into a melee frame if you remove his 4th.

His gun has a cap on how much combo you can get per shot, which is achievable with 60% multishot

Breach surge works if you prime a couple epitaph shots. It’s not very good but it will scale it’s damage up and doesn’t always bottom out to 1 damage.
