  • In this talk, we will delve into the core principle that enlightenment in Buddhism is achieved through personal effort. Just like Shakyamuni Buddha was transformed from an ordinary, deluded person to an enlightened being through his own endeavors, we must rely on ourselves to attain enlightenment. While the Buddha provided the path to enlightenment, the journey itself requires our own diligent effort, discipline, and application of his teachings.
Overall, the talk aims to provide a deeper understanding of Right Effort as a joyous, enthusiastic, and consistent practice. We are encouraged to marshal all our strength, not just in bursts of enthusiasm but in a sustained, joyful, and wise manner, aligning our actions with the goal of achieving enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.
