Sales of passenger vehicles in the local market declined for the second straight month in August, on a high base, and with carmakers reducing dispatches to rationalise stocks at dealerships.
According to industry estimates around 350,000-355,000 cars, sedans and utility vehicles were dispatched from factories to dealerships last month, which is a decline of 1.7-3% over 361,123 vehicles sold in August 2023. Automakers in India mostly report wholesale dispatches to dealers and not retail sales to customers.

I purchased Chevrolet spark in 2011 and Tata Nexon 2019.Now i am fed up with car market and fuel price. No major upgrade for driving purpose.I have driven Mercedes and after that i stopped thinking indian cars. Better use public transport or else take rest in home.

For 10 lakh car on road price we are paying 42 % tax ie 4.2 lakhs as tax. Due to heavy tax manufacturers are producing very poor build quality car and doing coas cutting. Bs6 emission also one reason , disel cars are almost extinct and bs6 petrol cars are not durable. Sky rocket increase in fuel and toll charges.. these are reasons. But your content is either scripted / paid else lack of reasearch
