2024 Spring Concert Narihibiku - Soran Bushi

Soran Bushi is a famous min’yō (traditional Japanese folk song) sung by the fishermen on the island of Hokkaidō, Japan. The words Dokkoisho! and Sōran! shouted throughout the song were used to encourage the fishermen as they worked. The dance moves imitate the movement of ocean waves as well as the fishermen dragging nets, pulling ropes, and tossing luggage over their shoulders.
