Timestamps & Notes 1:11 - P1 4:44 - P2 6:20 - P3 8:27 - P3 again (different rng) 10:23 - Ships/Mods Note that P1 is very dicey! It's the one that can go wrong quite easily but is still your best bet without 7* Y-Wing. P2-4 however, it seems to be easy to push the AI into playing poorly with this strategy as it's been replicated by hundreds of people. The AI seemingly doesn't make smart decisions when you play this startegy, so the "good rng" is essentially something you can create/force and not random. What makes P1 so much harder? Hounds Tooth. R7 Ani & GK mean they have the same speed and sometimes GK will go before Anakin, this in turn wastes a lot of damage as HT simply gains protection if GK uses his assist attack before Anakin can apply buff immunity. You'll find most who lose here have had the dice roll in favour of GK going first. You can still win with GK going first but the odds begin to stack against you. It may be classic CG that R5/R6 GK would make this easier than R7.

I found a combo that works for me id say 85-90% of the time . (Just got hans falcon to 7* yesterday(never wanted to waste energy on ig2000 lol) but if u use cassians u wing off the bench he will take all the buffs away and inflict off and def down on the enemy u select . then use the special and call ur falcon to assist it does +20% crit dmg up I believe but I always get to take the ht out either that or I just need to hit him like one time lol

Even though my GK and Anakin are relic 7 with 6 dot mods, Fives is relic 5 with 6 dot mods and Clone Seargeant g12 with 6 dot mods. You came through!! I completed phase 3 CM. Now I can be excited for the next LSTB so that I can clear phases 1 and 2 as well!! THANK YOU! I shouldn't doubt you, it was your guidance that got my nuke GG team running 6 months ago. I've had a few reports since its gone into mass testing of a few losses, likely super bad rng's (zero daze/TL types) but still definitely the most reliable non-Y Wing option we have as there have been 10x the success stories in comparison :)
Thank you again for this great strategy - worked last time in P2, P3 and P4 for me. I just found it in P2. Now I had it the first time in P1 which did not go so well. First I went in and there was none of the blue defense buffs up at my ships. In addition non of my ships was provoking. The team I countered was Thrawn with separatists. And they had all the blue denfense buffs. My heart sunk when they quickly set bombs on all my ships. I tried to get the formation buffs - no chance - they did not show up. I had to bring in all my ships. I lost 5‘s and Anakin. At the end I only had the sergant, Plo Koon and Ahsoka. All badly damaged. So I won just by luck. OK and now I know that these bonus abilities comes from the Platoons we only now finished. So my next 3 fights should be easy.
Yeah Thrawn is the only one I've ever seen rng people and myself, its very rare but when you land no Buff Immunity and all the TL/Daze fail, then they keep landing every crit. It gets a bit ugly, but that's essentially 8+ rng rolls going wrong in a row, highly unlikely to be regular. The other comps utterly melt fortunately. The worst is when you get Thrawn comp in every phase 😂

Thanks db, got my first p3 win and helped several in my guild too. One lost but we appreciate the amount of testing you do before releasing. He just didn't land daze, lock and failed offense down, lots of bad rng really to have all that happen
I managed to clear the fleet missions in p2 & p3 without Y Wing, also using a g10 Clone Sgt. It was a close call, especially on the Geo battles, but the attack formation/defense formation really helped. Ahsoka r4, Anakin R7, GK R7, Fives is still only g12, as is Rex, Plo g8.
Thanks DB great video man, I followed your guide step by step. It didn't go nearly as well as it did in your video, I got some horrible RNG but I still beat the 3rd phase of ships for the first time.
I shared your video with my guild hopefully next time around we can so much better in ships. On a side note I barely lost the Reek mission, stupid RNG fest that mission is, I have only been able to beat it once lol
@@waffledolphin8940 thanks mate. Just brace them as P1 is by far the toughest, if Buff Immunity doesn't stick the whole strategy can go out of the window haha. Yeah I'm still yet to beat the KAM mission. I get to Jango and Reek, both in yellow and then I get nuked lol
Its utter madness, there HAS to be more Relic tiers or a level cap increase coming as the combat missions are insane. R5 Ahsoka was crushed in wave 1 of the GAS/Snips CM, despite 6 dot mod R7 GAS with her lol
Thank you for showing. Against my better judgment and having Y-wing I simply tried your strategy and won. I had you strategy against the Geos registered in my mind - went in and got Thrawn with Hound Tooth. It went not so easy against the Hound Tooth but I lost no ship and Plo Koon and Ahsoka have been my only reinforcement. In one way I felt comfortable with you strategy as I had seen in GAC at the no reinforcement challenges - sometimes it is much better not to use reinforcement. Did this work also for you in P4?
Yeah this works in all phases against all versions of enemy they give you. The HT team is definitely the scariest. The Hyena team is the easiest and Geos are mid level. Having Y Wing is helpful,I have him as an emergency reinforcement incase I get a nightmare rng and ever lose Sarge

Okay so I just tried this and my enemies were HT, Xanadu and IG... They must have updated it since then. But using your lineup and similar tactics I still demolished them! So thanks man!
Hey General DB. I applied this guide yesterday in P2 and today in P3 and CG seems have change something. Bugs went straight to Fives instead of spreading their attacks like in your video. The end result was a failed in P2 and a lucky success a few minutes ago. Did you noticed a change yourself or you think that it's just "RNG" ? For info, Kenobi is relic 6, my Sarge is G12, Fives is relic 5 and Anakin is relic 7.
Just a nightmare rng. I had them massacre Fives myself today but pulled through to win still. Plo came in, crit immunity on CS and turned the battle around.

Hey, I was just introduced to your video. Nice work!!! I would like to know though, I do have a 7* GR Y-Wing available. Would you recommend I put that in my starting three and move clone sergeant to reinforce? Clone sergeant's reinforce ability is pretty good with the perma-taunt as long as he has protection. My sergeant is G12 and his ship is maxed out (for comparison).
@@DBofficial125 Wanted to let you know I have tried 3 battles with Y-Wing instead of Clone Sergeant. It did not go well. Clone Sergeant seems to be the right answer.
P3 Followup from my comment here yesterday. Reliced JKA to R4 thinking it would be much easier. This time around, the Geos focused on my unchanged G12 Sarge and blew him away in the first wave before my R5 Negotiator could grant Republic Protection or reinforce with Plo Koon. But still got through it, following your strategy, using my R4 Ahsoka, and with one Geo Spy reinforcement. Any thoughts? We filled 4/6 platoons. And yesterday, Sarge outlasted both Fives and Eta, to get me the win with Ahsoka.
I have nearly the exact same lineup except that my Serg is G12. I tried this strategy and my Serg dies in the second volley of enemy attacks every time. How the heck is your G10 Serg surviving and my G12 isn't?

Curious about something DB: what would you recommend a guild has before considering doing Geo LSTB on a regular basis? Our guild has done it this time and we're on course for 6* but it's been a slog. I'm just about to watch this video but I love the idea of it so I'm curious what you'd consider are the essentials for actually progressing from where we are (tactical deployments pretty much) to somewhere a bit better.
I feel a decent batch of Padme/501st teams to gets some decent waves in P1-3. You'll need to strategically clear zones too. Don't rush 1* on all, get one close to 1* and lock and go for 2 in the other. Then next day you have a chance to 2* the one you left as its still got 90m odd pre-loaded.
DBofficial125 that’s pretty much what we’re doing so far with regards to preloading zones. Only this last phase we’ve moved from the “first” zone ☺️ 1 star in all P1 zones except the middle where we’re pushing now for 2. P1 and P2 fleets 1 star as well. As for Padmes and GAS, instruction on the Padme mission read “Unless your Padme team is all relic 7, sit your ass back down” so I think we’re going to need to club together in that regard 😂 thanks for the guidance though ✌️
I notice that I don't get the same matchup in Phase 1 - I see Hyena Bomber instead of Hound's Tooth. I wonder if the fight has changed in the past 20 months, or of the matchup changes depending on how many platoons are filled or which cap ship you take? (I have 4 of 6 platoons and Endurance)
No that's just one of the 3 random battles but it's a simple one. You just hyper focus Hyena and mop up. HT is considered the difficult one in P1 hence showcasing it. I believe I did record a Hyena battle for someone back in the day, I'll see if I can find it
@@DBofficial125 They should have made 2 fights for stars and not this lame reward. But lucky me I just won in P4 the 4th fight again Thrawn and Hound Tooth and again I had to call in only Plo Koon! I must add that all my chars had 6 point mods. I take my time for this as 6 point mods have only one advantage: speed! 2 mods add 1 point speed. Against Thrawn this is a great advantage as one has to be quick.
I believe so. It only takes 2 for the Defensive Formation at the start and that's the only key part. P1 is the only one that's scary. It takes a pretty awful rng to lose in P2/3
So what is the strategy in p1 if you end up having to face the chimera with the droid l ship line up. Hyena vulture and flying doughnut looking ship. Which are then reinforced by the bugs and more vulture ships. Cos you just seem to get hammered trying the way in the video

We are at 6 but 2 is all you need. 4 and 6 don't effect the strategy really. The only time they would help is if you get a nightmare rng and the battle drags on
Had multiple reports that is works, yes. 2/6 is the only one that really effects this strategy. 4/6 only does anything if we switch to assault and then back to defence. 6/6 only effects Assault and we're only in it for like 2 hits. So 6 would only really help if we've had really bad rng early on.

Thanks mate. Yeah just me fiddling around trying to find a replacement to tank for HT considering we can't use him haha. I did some Rex testing and found he died faster (less armor and same health pool at R5 vs CS at G10)
Sadly not mate, my Rebels were built on minimal gear so get blown away. From those with good Rebels I hear its very rng heavy. I suspect the Rebel Y-Wing will make it much more consistent

AoK (Ashes of Korriban) I started it back in 2016, ended up having to open a few more divisions for fans and now I have 7 all overseen by me with appointed leadership in most. So sort of an alliance but unlike any others in the game :)
ls Geonosis and again 4 times win with your strategy. In P4 I lost 5s, Sergant and Plo Koon but won against Geonosians still with just 2 reinforcements.
A reliced Fives is really key to succeeding. A guy in my guild tried this with a R7 Eta and G12 Fives and came close to winning, but lost with one enemy left in the yellow. I reliced up Fives to R7 and tried with a G12 Eta in this P2 and got through by the skin of my teeth. Vulture ended up being called in and I narrowly took him out with Sarge and Ahsoka clinging to life. And yea, I lost both JKA and Fives : / Me: G5 zGK, R7 zzFives, G12 zJKA G12 Sarge, G12 Plo, R4 Ahsoka Him: G7 zGK, G12 zzFives, R7 zJKA G10 Sarge G12 Plo, R5 Ahsoka Didn't check my mods beforehand and shocked to see only GK had 2 6 dot mods. Most of the others that are on now are embarrassingly bad, with a lot of white, green and blue predominating And almost forgot to thank you for this strategy walkthrough. Our guild tried it out for the first time and the feedback has been, unsurprisingly, A+++. Keep on "Let's Do This!"
You're slacking! Haha. Glad you enjoyed it mate. It works versus all 3 variations with minimal fail percentage (a chain of bad rng's really need to line up to get you) particularly if you have Y Wing on the bench aswell.
Something I don't know that you mentioned (I might have missed it), but this will probably not work if your defensive formation platoon is not at level 3. It's at level 1 for me, and I got creamed. Very similar gear levels.
That may very well be true. My guild always fills the first one and ignores the rest, so I've never tested with less. I've heard some mixed reports from people with 2/6 and 4/6, so it may still work but be less consistent there.
@@DBofficial125 yeah, I'd pin this comment about the platoons to the top, it's as crucial info as the gear on your characters! still, it does mean that people won't be as salty about platooning their Y-wings so this may actually be do-able!
P2 and today all worked as it should have worked in P1 also. The Navigator had a lot of speed. Taking swiftly out Thrawn lead fleet with Hound Tooth and the incoming provoking Hyena bomber. Need only the help of Plo as in former fights. I was already afraid that CG started to hit GK R8 ships harder. So no it was only the worst possible RNG.
@DBOfficial125 This worked great for me last run through LSTB, I won every ship battle except P1. P2 + 2x P3. This go around, it feels like the mechanics have been tweaked and I've lost every attempt except P1 ironically. By tweaked mechanics I mean that it seems like my ships with the revive buff don't revive. I'm running R7 GK, R7 Fives, R7 JKA, G12 CS. Anyone else have reports on success or failure during this run at LSTB?
Success results seemed to be pretty much the same, a solid 80%+. I personally won 3 of my 4 (I stupidly screwed up in P1 lol). However if Undying Loyalty is being a problem then welcome to the club, its been bugged from day one and CG never fixed it, sometimes things don't stay alive with it, sometimes it gets stuck on all battle and you can't die etc. I lost an arena battle for 1st the other day because their ship kept it on for 4 minutes despite me battering it... lol
I used Sarge as a first reinforcement and they shred through him like he was nothing. He’s relic 4. I’ll have to try him as a starter next time. 100,000 health, 85,000 protection

That's just what his health is at for G10 mate. No real way of changing ship stats beyond 6 dot mods and mine can't have them. His real secret is how high his armor is. Despite a similar health/prot to Relic Rex, CS actually has 10% higher armor even at G10.
Yeah it's been shown to be about 85% successful since being tested by 50000+ people vs the few in the 100% test run. Rng can cause a few headaches but overall it's still the top strategy so far. Glad it helped :)

Rex works quite good as well. Now we all have him relic'ed. Very good unique. Serg might be better tho. Anyway Ywing is a mvp. Haven't lost a single combat (8 win steak so far) with it.
Admittedly I'd run Y-Wing too if I had it 7* and didn't need it on platoons haha. Having to make do and found Rex softer at R5 then CS at G10, due to much lower armor despite similar health pools.
I didn't go in on Negotiator. I went for Malevolence, and haven't regretted it yet. I'll have Malevolence 7 star this TB rewards and should be close to Negotiator 6 star
Just tried this in P3. Followed it to a T.....major fail vs Geos/Mace cap ship. Really disappointing. G12.5 sarge got smoked by Geos before Plo could come in. R7 Fives/JKA/GK w/ all 6 dot mods. I'll go back to using r7 Rex in my starting 3 instead of Sarge, this is unfortunately just not reliable.
Wish I could get footage of what happened, but joys of waiting a month I guess. Rex is gonna be no more reliable considering G10 CS and R5 Rex have near identical health, only Rex has much less armor. So in theory if it killed CS, it'd kill Rex even quicker.
Which version? I faced the HT tank team in this too. There is actually 4 combos but the same Ani/Fives/CS combo can beat them all AND I used it for the Special Mission in p3. I'll try get footage
It's easily the best strategy without Y Wing. Some are saying Rex is better but that needs more rng as he has less health/prot and armor even when more developed.
@@DBofficial125 I'm not sure this is right -- I thought I'd better have a look at what the different levels get you. The perma-taunt is a level one bonus, level two gets you health and protection recovery (though it's not clear if this is every turn, or when you switch formations -- I think the latter) and level three gets you more damage but only when in attack formation which you're not in, mostly. So it should't be as important as you suggest.
@@DBofficial125 did you ever try using Ahsoka instead of Fives? I'm just thinking that atm people seem to be losing when the Bugs go all in on Fives -- which they can do as he's a tank too but if you start Ahsoka then you get her big hit to try and take down HT more quickly and the Bugs have to go after CS (though then I'd worry that he wouldn't stand up to all those hits -- if there is any RNG involved it may be that you need the damage to be spread between your two tanks, in which case Fives and CS would be necessary) watching your vid again -- and yeah, you're not healing every turn! that would make things a little too easy :) I've shared it with my guild -- such a pain that there are no test accounts any more
@@DBofficial125 OK, sorry to come over all obsessive (and this is just about p1) but I think you are getting a bit lucky in who the HT puts breech on. I'm assuming IG will always do it's big move against whoever has breech and your Fives is tanky enough to take the hits. So when people fail, first thing I'd ask is who the breech went on. It's possible HT will always breech Fives which would be interesting in itself.
This is by no means a "safe" strategy. I have g12 sarge, r7 rest and lost every single cm this tb. You just got lucky that they spread their attacks out between sarge and fives. If one gets focused you lose
Spread? Dude did you even watch. P3 EVERY attack but 2 hit CS, from 4 ships, multiple assists and he eats it up. Thats what Crit Immunity and Plo's heals are for...

@@DBofficial125 i am not trying to hate or anything like that btw. This IS the best strategy, it CAN work and i have made it work in the past. Its just not 100% safe, stuff can go wrong and you can absolutely lose even with better ships than yours.
MrSevinkLP Wow thats bizarre, do you have Defensive Formation at the start? 6/6 platoon on P1? Another viewer said he had hell and they swarmed nobody but Fives, blew him up but he still won comfortably by sticking to the plan. I'm assuming you had a 1 in a million bad rng, had 0 daze, got stunned an all sorts? My CS ate up 8 shots before Plo came in that should be plenty. Shame we can't run these missions back so I can watch and see what happened :(
@@DBofficial125 we have 4/6 in p1, but thats good enough because 6/6 only gives bonuses to offense formation. Its just good old rng. this tb my anakin failed to put buff immunity on ht for example, i didnt land a single daze on the geos, maybe they crit more often than in your battles etc. Not much you can do other than stick to the strategy (which as i said is good) and hope for the best.

Oh snap Fives died!? I assume the entire team ignored CS's defensive formation and went at Fives? That's still quite the shocker as they swarmed CS and ignores Fives in my P3 run and he lived haha. Glad it worked regardless!
LS Geonosis and I lost for the first time. I am totally upset. My GK is R8. I only use 6 dot mods. I have won this battle against Thrawn and Hound Tooth already 2 times without the help of the Platoons. Today I went in and my ships got knocked out as if they where not there. GK‘s first AoE did not stick on the ships. The defense ships of the opponent are totally the same as you have shown in your first video. It was Tarkin and not Thrawn who is actually much easier - normally. I went in and 5‘s got killed at once. The other 2 badly damaged. I brought in Plo Hound Tooth finally gone with an AoE from Anakin but he got knocked out shortly after. I throw the bombs of course all already with attack formation. Not much damage. I brought in Ahsoka and she did not much damage and got knocked out. Plo could not survive alone. Grrrrrrr. What kind of RNG was this! One from our guild won this fight already. So I thought Step 1 Platoons are enough.

@@DBofficial125 Yes, it felt like that. All my other guild members won. It happend to me only once in the fleet arena when a total weak opponent all of a sudden destroyed my strong fleet. As if he had become super powers. CG should stop adding such routine. Why buying and gearing up when a weakling can destroy you.

I've been using this exact comp for the past 2 LSTB with R7 Fives, R7 Eta and G11 Sarge and always lose one or two ships in the first 2 turns so I'm going to say (X) Doubt.
And you're playing the exact move and turn order? I mean you can literally see me do it 4 times in a row. The people I see fail don't seem to use Daze or call Plo.
I just copied his first p3 battle and had the exact same result and looks like i'm not the only one in comments too. Its not the comp, its the turns he's taking. I've failed with the same comp before but played it differently then

I'm not saying it cannot work (obviously it can) but that there are conditions that will end your run instantly such as them focusing one ship (instead of spreading), they critting hard (you almost never get crit). Hence it's a very good strategy (possibly the only strategy atm) but it's just not 100% win rate.
@@scobitor Oh I'm sure it COULD go wrong but would need an insanely bad rng. P3 lands multiple crits and had a 4th ship (which is why I opt to place Crit Immunity via Plo). Upside is GK nerfs enemy assist damage. Plo lands 2 heals (his tm boost also heals), CS heals itself using 1st special on a TL'd enemy and enemy can't spread damage as CS has defence formation until the very end (retaunts every turn if expired) until we swap to Assault Formation for Undying Loyalty. All but TWO hits were on CS and he held up despite the mass assists and crits. As a result its a very controlled strategy that doesn't leave much up to rng in the end. Bug ships have VERY low crit chance even Relic'd so the probability of more crits than the P3 run is astromical.
Oh definitely P2-3 are easier, I said this in the video myself but I was also being told these were impossible without Y-Wing and evidently they aren't. If you do enough damage, the AI panics and skips the reinforcement for an easier win. Its really playing the AI against itself as a strategy
@@Kaiskh I tested it as much as possible mate. I got 7 straight CM wins and a few Patreons also were 100%. Sadly CG removing test accounts prevented more.
It's literally the most reliable strategy and now the prime one in use by all major guilds. In testing it never lost thus not clickbait, now it's had a much bigger test base by going public, it's still at a huge success rate around 90%. Feel free to show me a more reliable method.
@@mfsars1075 That's fine. It's not perfect but as I said, name a more reliable strategy? It even has a higher success rate than the Y-Wing one and doesn't require the new ship. Ahnald even tested it successfully on his stream.
@@mfsars1075 I can confirm this is my guilds strat also. We do around 40 out of 50 wins each phase, much better than the 10-15 we did with Y-Wing and other line ups before. Guild is 296m and 20 stars.

Note that P1 is very dicey! It's the one that can go wrong quite easily but is still your best bet without 7* Y-Wing. P2-4 however, it seems to be easy to push the AI into playing poorly with this strategy as it's been replicated by hundreds of people. The AI seemingly doesn't make smart decisions when you play this startegy, so the "good rng" is essentially something you can create/force and not random.
What makes P1 so much harder? Hounds Tooth. R7 Ani & GK mean they have the same speed and sometimes GK will go before Anakin, this in turn wastes a lot of damage as HT simply gains protection if GK uses his assist attack before Anakin can apply buff immunity. You'll find most who lose here have had the dice roll in favour of GK going first. You can still win with GK going first but the odds begin to stack against you. It may be classic CG that R5/R6 GK would make this easier than R7.

I found a combo that works for me id say 85-90% of the time . (Just got hans falcon to 7* yesterday(never wanted to waste energy on ig2000 lol) but if u use cassians u wing off the bench he will take all the buffs away and inflict off and def down on the enemy u select . then use the special and call ur falcon to assist it does +20% crit dmg up I believe but I always get to take the ht out either that or I just need to hit him like one time lol

Even though my GK and Anakin are relic 7 with 6 dot mods, Fives is relic 5 with 6 dot mods and Clone Seargeant g12 with 6 dot mods. You came through!! I completed phase 3 CM. I've had a few reports since its gone into mass testing of a few losses, likely super bad rng's (zero daze/TL types) but still definitely the most reliable non-Y Wing option we have as there have been 10x the success stories in comparison :)
Thank you again for this great strategy - worked last time in P2, P3 and P4 for me. I just found it in P2. Now I had it the first time in P1 which did not go so well. First I went in and there was none of the blue defense buffs up at my ships. In addition non of my ships was provoking. The team I countered was Thrawn with separatists. And they had all the blue denfense buffs. My heart sunk when they quickly set bombs on all my ships. I tried to get the formation buffs - no chance - they did not show up. I had to bring in all my ships. I lost 5‘s and Anakin. At the end I only had the sergant, Plo Koon and Ahsoka. All badly damaged. So I won just by luck.
OK and now I know that these bonus abilities comes from the Platoons we only now finished. So my next 3 fights should be easy.
Yeah Thrawn is the only one I've ever seen rng people and myself, its very rare but when you land no Buff Immunity and all the TL/Daze fail, then they keep landing every crit. It gets a bit ugly, but that's essentially 8+ rng rolls going wrong in a row, highly unlikely to be regular.
The other comps utterly melt fortunately. The worst is when you get Thrawn comp in every phase 😂

Thanks db, got my first p3 win and helped several in my guild too. One lost but we appreciate the amount of testing you do before releasing. He just didn't land daze, lock and failed offense down, lots of bad rng really to have all that happen
I managed to clear the fleet missions in p2 & p3 without Y Wing, also using a g10 Clone Sgt. It was a close call, especially on the Geo battles, but the attack formation/defense formation really helped.
Ahsoka r4, Anakin R7, GK R7, Fives is still only g12, as is Rex, Plo g8.

Here's a fun fact: not even galactic legends can one shot the droids. That's how absurd the difficulty is.
Its utter madness, there HAS to be more Relic tiers or a level cap increase coming as the combat missions are insane. R5 Ahsoka was crushed in wave 1 of the GAS/Snips CM, despite 6 dot mod R7 GAS with her lol

Thank you for showing. Against my better judgment and having Y-wing I simply tried your strategy and won. I had you strategy against the Geos registered in my mind - went in and got Thrawn with Hound Tooth. It went not so easy against the Hound Tooth but I lost no ship and Plo Koon and Ahsoka have been my only reinforcement. In one way I felt comfortable with you strategy as I had seen in GAC at the no reinforcement challenges - sometimes it is much better not to use reinforcement.
Did this work also for you in P4?
Yeah this works in all phases against all versions of enemy they give you. The HT team is definitely the scariest. The Hyena team is the easiest and Geos are mid level. Having Y Wing is helpful,I have him as an emergency reinforcement incase I get a nightmare rng and ever lose Sarge

Hey General DB. I applied this guide yesterday in P2 and today in P3 and CG seems have change something. Bugs went straight to Fives instead of spreading their attacks like in your video. The end result was a failed in P2 and a lucky success a few minutes ago. Did you noticed a change yourself or you think that it's just "RNG" ? For info, Kenobi is relic 6, my Sarge is G12, Fives is relic 5 and Anakin is relic 7.
Just a nightmare rng. I had them massacre Fives myself today but pulled through to win still. Plo came in, crit immunity on CS and turned the battle around.

Hey, I was just introduced to your video. Nice work!!! I would like to know though, I do have a 7* GR Y-Wing available. Would you recommend I put that in my starting three and move clone sergeant to reinforce? Clone sergeant's reinforce ability is pretty good with the perma-taunt as long as he has protection. My sergeant is G12 and his ship is maxed out (for comparison).
That is actually something I NEED to test and can't. My SLKR unlock and ultimate ticket farms caused me to have to pause the ship haha

P3 Followup from my comment here yesterday. Reliced JKA to R4 thinking it would be much easier. This time around, the Geos focused on my unchanged G12 Sarge and blew him away in the first wave before my R5 Negotiator could grant Republic Protection or reinforce with Plo Koon. But still got through it, following your strategy, using my R4 Ahsoka, and with one Geo Spy reinforcement. Any thoughts? We filled 4/6 platoons. And yesterday, Sarge outlasted both Fives and Eta, to get me the win with Ahsoka.
I have nearly the exact same lineup except that my Serg is G12. I tried this strategy and my Serg dies in the second volley of enemy attacks every time. How the heck is your G10 Serg surviving and my G12 isn't?

Curious about something DB: what would you recommend a guild has before considering doing Geo LSTB on a regular basis? Our guild has done it this time and we're on course for 6* but it's been a slog. I'm just about to watch this video but I love the idea of it so I'm curious what you'd consider are the essentials for actually progressing from where we are (tactical deployments pretty much) to somewhere a bit better.
I feel a decent batch of Padme/501st teams to gets some decent waves in P1-3. You'll need to strategically clear zones too. Don't rush 1* on all, get one close to 1* and lock and go for 2 in the other. Then next day you have a chance to 2* the one you left as its still got 90m odd pre-loaded.
DBofficial125 that’s pretty much what we’re doing so far with regards to preloading zones. Only this last phase we’ve moved from the “first” zone ☺️ 1 star in all P1 zones except the middle where we’re pushing now for 2. P1 and P2 fleets 1 star as well. As for Padmes and GAS, instruction on the Padme mission read “Unless your Padme team is all relic 7, sit your ass back down” so I think we’re going to need to club together in that regard 😂 thanks for the guidance though ✌️
I notice that I don't get the same matchup in Phase 1 - I see Hyena Bomber instead of Hound's Tooth. I wonder if the fight has changed in the past 20 months, or of the matchup changes depending on how many platoons are filled or which cap ship you take? (I have 4 of 6 platoons and Endurance)
No that's just one of the 3 random battles but it's a simple one. You just hyper focus Hyena and mop up. HT is considered the difficult one in P1 hence showcasing it. I believe I did record a Hyena battle for someone back in the day, I'll see if I can find it

@@DBofficial125 They should have made 2 fights for stars and not this lame reward. But lucky me I just won in P4 the 4th fight again Thrawn and Hound Tooth and again I had to call in only Plo Koon! I must add that all my chars had 6 point mods. I take my time for this as 6 point mods have only one advantage: speed! 2 mods add 1 point speed. Against Thrawn this is a great advantage as one has to be quick.

I believe so. It only takes 2 for the Defensive Formation at the start and that's the only key part. P1 is the only one that's scary. It takes a pretty awful rng to lose in P2/3

So what is the strategy in p1 if you end up having to face the chimera with the droid l ship line up. Hyena vulture and flying doughnut looking ship. Which are then reinforced by the bugs and more vulture ships. Cos you just seem to get hammered trying the way in the video

I assume you have 6/6 for platoons P1?? or are you able to do this with less just 2/6 to get the formations?
We are at 6 but 2 is all you need. 4 and 6 don't effect the strategy really. The only time they would help is if you get a nightmare rng and the battle drags on

Had multiple reports that is works, yes. 2/6 is the only one that really effects this strategy. 4/6 only does anything if we switch to assault and then back to defence. 6/6 only effects Assault and we're only in it for like 2 hits. So 6 would only really help if we've had really bad rng early on.

I just did this comp with Endurance instead of Negotiator in p3. Was up against Tarkin. Got it down to 1 ship. Any way we can make Endurance work?

Sadly not mate, my Rebels were built on minimal gear so get blown away. From those with good Rebels I hear its very rng heavy. I suspect the Rebel Y-Wing will make it much more consistent

AoK (Ashes of Korriban) I started it back in 2016, ended up having to open a few more divisions for fans and now I have 7 all overseen by me with appointed leadership in most. So sort of an alliance but unlike any others in the game :)

ls Geonosis and again 4 times win with your strategy. In P4 I lost 5s, Sergant and Plo Koon but won against Geonosians still with just 2 reinforcements.
A reliced Fives is really key to succeeding. A guy in my guild tried this with a R7 Eta and G12 Fives and came close to winning, but lost with one enemy left in the yellow. I reliced up Fives to R7 and tried with a G12 Eta in this P2 and got through by the skin of my teeth. Vulture ended up being called in and I narrowly took him out with Sarge and Ahsoka clinging to life. And yea, I lost both JKA and Fives : /
Me: G5 zGK, R7 zzFives, G12 zJKA G12 Sarge, G12 Plo, R4 Ahsoka
Him: G7 zGK, G12 zzFives, R7 zJKA G10 Sarge G12 Plo, R5 Ahsoka
Didn't check my mods beforehand and shocked to see only GK had 2 6 dot mods. Most of the others that are on now are embarrassingly bad, with a lot of white, green and blue predominating
And almost forgot to thank you for this strategy walkthrough. Our guild tried it out for the first time and the feedback has been, unsurprisingly, A+++. Keep on "Let's Do This!"

You're slacking! Haha. Glad you enjoyed it mate. It works versus all 3 variations with minimal fail percentage (a chain of bad rng's really need to line up to get you) particularly if you have Y Wing on the bench aswell.

Something I don't know that you mentioned (I might have missed it), but this will probably not work if your defensive formation platoon is not at level 3. It's at level 1 for me, and I got creamed. Very similar gear levels.
That may very well be true. My guild always fills the first one and ignores the rest, so I've never tested with less. I've heard some mixed reports from people with 2/6 and 4/6, so it may still work but be less consistent there.
@@DBofficial125 yeah, I'd pin this comment about the platoons to the top, it's as crucial info as the gear on your characters! still, it does mean that people won't be as salty about platooning their Y-wings so this may actually be do-able!
If you have Y-wing would you just use it instead of Sarge? And if yes is it worth it putting Sarge in your reinforcement slot?

P2 and today all worked as it should have worked in P1 also. The Navigator had a lot of speed. Taking swiftly out Thrawn lead fleet with Hound Tooth and the incoming provoking Hyena bomber. Need only the help of Plo as in former fights. I was already afraid that CG started to hit GK R8 ships harder. So no it was only the worst possible RNG.

@DBOfficial125 This worked great for me last run through LSTB, I won every ship battle except P1. P2 + 2x P3. This go around, it feels like the mechanics have been tweaked and I've lost every attempt except P1 ironically. By tweaked mechanics I mean that it seems like my ships with the revive buff don't revive. I'm running R7 GK, R7 Fives, R7 JKA, G12 CS. Anyone else have reports on success or failure during this run at LSTB?
Success results seemed to be pretty much the same, a solid 80%+. I personally won 3 of my 4 (I stupidly screwed up in P1 lol). However if Undying Loyalty is being a problem then welcome to the club, its been bugged from day one and CG never fixed it, sometimes things don't stay alive with it, sometimes it gets stuck on all battle and you can't die etc. I lost an arena battle for 1st the other day because their ship kept it on for 4 minutes despite me battering it... lol

I used Sarge as a first reinforcement and they shred through him like he was nothing. He’s relic 4. I’ll have to try him as a starter next time. 100,000 health, 85,000 protection
Yeah see how it goes, I'd use Plo as first reinforcement in any strategy for TM, heals etc. He can apply Crit Immunity to a tank if desperate too.

How did you get CS health pool that high?
That's just what his health is at for G10 mate. No real way of changing ship stats beyond 6 dot mods and mine can't have them. His real secret is how high his armor is. Despite a similar health/prot to Relic Rex, CS actually has 10% higher armor even at G10.
yeah it didnt work for me, with G12 Sarge and everyone else relic. no buff immunity can land on HT, no victory

Yeah it's been shown to be about 85% successful since being tested by 50000+ people vs the few in the 100% test run. Rng can cause a few headaches but overall it's still the top strategy so far. Glad it helped :)

Rex works quite good as well. Now we all have him relic'ed. Very good unique. Serg might be better tho. Anyway Ywing is a mvp. Haven't lost a single combat (8 win steak so far) with it.
Admittedly I'd run Y-Wing too if I had it 7* and didn't need it on platoons haha. Having to make do and found Rex softer at R5 then CS at G10, due to much lower armor despite similar health pools.
I didn't go in on Negotiator. I went for Malevolence, and haven't regretted it yet. I'll have Malevolence 7 star this TB rewards and should be close to Negotiator 6 star

Wish I could get footage of what happened, but joys of waiting a month I guess. Rex is gonna be no more reliable considering G10 CS and R5 Rex have near identical health, only Rex has much less armor. So in theory if it killed CS, it'd kill Rex even quicker.

Sadly not. Negotiator weakens the Bugs in P2-3 and undying loyalty is what makes the battle safe once you get things nice set up.

Which version? I faced the HT tank team in this too. There is actually 4 combos but the same Ani/Fives/CS combo can beat them all AND I used it for the Special Mission in p3. I'll try get footage

It's easily the best strategy without Y Wing. Some are saying Rex is better but that needs more rng as he has less health/prot and armor even when more developed.
How important is it to have the Phase 1 Platoon to level 3? Is level 1 enough to repeat this strategy?
I would say VERY important. Allows you to permataunt on CS/Fives every turn, otherwise Anakin is at risk and we can't control where the enemy directs
@@DBofficial125 I'm not sure this is right -- I thought I'd better have a look at what the different levels get you. The perma-taunt is a level one bonus, level two gets you health and protection recovery (though it's not clear if this is every turn, or when you switch formations -- I think the latter) and level three gets you more damage but only when in attack formation which you're not in, mostly. So it should't be as important as you suggest.

@@DBofficial125 did you ever try using Ahsoka instead of Fives? I'm just thinking that atm people seem to be losing when the Bugs go all in on Fives -- which they can do as he's a tank too but if you start Ahsoka then you get her big hit to try and take down HT more quickly and the Bugs have to go after CS (though then I'd worry that he wouldn't stand up to all those hits -- if there is any RNG involved it may be that you need the damage to be spread between your two tanks, in which case Fives and CS would be necessary)

@@DBofficial125 OK, sorry to come over all obsessive (and this is just about p1) but I think you are getting a bit lucky in who the HT puts breech on. I'm assuming IG will always do it's big move against whoever has breech and your Fives is tanky enough to take the hits. So when people fail, first thing I'd ask is who the breech went on. It's possible HT will always breech Fives which would be interesting in itself.
This is by no means a "safe" strategy. I have g12 sarge, r7 rest and lost every single cm this tb. You just got lucky that they spread their attacks out between sarge and fives. If one gets focused you lose
Spread? Dude did you even watch. P3 EVERY attack but 2 hit CS, from 4 ships, multiple assists and he eats it up. Thats what Crit Immunity and Plo's heals are for...
@@DBofficial125 i did watch it. My g12 sarge is always dead before i get a chance to call plo because he gets focused. 2 attacks on fives is already great rng mate. fully maxed r7 negotiator btw, maxed anakin, maxed fives etc
@@DBofficial125 i am not trying to hate or anything like that btw. This IS the best strategy, it CAN work and i have made it work in the past. Its just not 100% safe, stuff can go wrong and you can absolutely lose even with better ships than yours.
MrSevinkLP Wow thats bizarre, do you have Defensive Formation at the start? 6/6 platoon on P1? Another viewer said he had hell and they swarmed nobody but Fives, blew him up but he still won comfortably by sticking to the plan. I'm assuming you had a 1 in a million bad rng, had 0 daze, got stunned an all sorts? My CS ate up 8 shots before Plo came in that should be plenty. Shame we can't run these missions back so I can watch and see what happened :(
@@DBofficial125 we have 4/6 in p1, but thats good enough because 6/6 only gives bonuses to offense formation. Its just good old rng. this tb my anakin failed to put buff immunity on ht for example, i didnt land a single daze on the geos, maybe they crit more often than in your battles etc.
Not much you can do other than stick to the strategy (which as i said is good) and hope for the best.

Believe it or not, using this strategy I won in phase 2 but I used Mace instead of Negotiator

mod stats dont impact ship stats, only 6e matters, their stats dont

so much easier cheers. did on two accounts GK/JKA/5's all g13r7. one account g11 CS, g10 Plo other g12 CS and Plo. G11/10 account easier win better rng on crits v CS G12 account lost CS in initial barrage from bugs but still pulled out an easy win with Ashoka
Followed it to a T with G12 Sarge and all 6 dot mods and lost. This is by no means full proof.

DBofficial125 yeah so it makes me wonder at times. Have them at R7 with all 6 dot mods. They smoke anything in fleet arena, TW and GAC. Not sure why they don’t do much in TB.

Fantastic, worked like a charm despite fives being blown up. At least it's possible to do the ship stuff unlike the character cms.
Oh snap Fives died!? I assume the entire team ignored CS's defensive formation and went at Fives? That's still quite the shocker as they swarmed CS and ignores Fives in my P3 run and he lived haha. Glad it worked regardless!
LS Geonosis and I lost for the first time. I am totally upset. My GK is R8. I only use 6 dot mods. I have won this battle against Thrawn and Hound Tooth already 2 times without the help of the Platoons. Today I went in and my ships got knocked out as if they where not there. GK‘s first AoE did not stick on the ships. The defense ships of the opponent are totally the same as you have shown in your first video. It was Tarkin and not Thrawn who is actually much easier - normally. I went in and 5‘s got killed at once. The other 2 badly damaged. I brought in Plo Hound Tooth finally gone with an AoE from Anakin but he got knocked out shortly after. I throw the bombs of course all already with attack formation. Not much damage. I brought in Ahsoka and she did not much damage and got knocked out. Plo could not survive alone. Grrrrrrr. What kind of RNG was this! One from our guild won this fight already. So I thought Step 1 Platoons are enough.
Yikes sounds like rng was massacring you today. Strongest you've ever been and this time it's a no 😂 I've been scared to relic Clone Sarge because he always works at G10 and a former guild mate swore his ship took more damage af relic haha
@@DBofficial125 Yes, it felt like that. All my other guild members won. It happend to me only once in the fleet arena when a total weak opponent all of a sudden destroyed my strong fleet. As if he had become super powers. CG should stop adding such routine. Why buying and gearing up when a weakling can destroy you.
I don't know what magic you have on your fleet but this did not work for me. I tried it twice and got blown out of the sky. I must be doing something wrong, although I did copy your strategy. Thanks anyway, I appreciate all content creators, you guys make my life so much easier. :D
I've been using this exact comp for the past 2 LSTB with R7 Fives, R7 Eta and G11 Sarge and always lose one or two ships in the first 2 turns so I'm going to say (X) Doubt.
And you're playing the exact move and turn order? I mean you can literally see me do it 4 times in a row. The people I see fail don't seem to use Daze or call Plo.
I just copied his first p3 battle and had the exact same result and looks like i'm not the only one in comments too. Its not the comp, its the turns he's taking. I've failed with the same comp before but played it differently then

I'm not saying it cannot work (obviously it can) but that there are conditions that will end your run instantly such as them focusing one ship (instead of spreading), they critting hard (you almost never get crit). Hence it's a very good strategy (possibly the only strategy atm) but it's just not 100% win rate.

@@scobitor Oh I'm sure it COULD go wrong but would need an insanely bad rng. P3 lands multiple crits and had a 4th ship (which is why I opt to place Crit Immunity via Plo). Upside is GK nerfs enemy assist damage. Plo lands 2 heals (his tm boost also heals), CS heals itself using 1st special on a TL'd enemy and enemy can't spread damage as CS has defence formation until the very end (retaunts every turn if expired) until we swap to Assault Formation for Undying Loyalty. All but TWO hits were on CS and he held up despite the mass assists and crits. As a result its a very controlled strategy that doesn't leave much up to rng in the end. Bug ships have VERY low crit chance even Relic'd so the probability of more crits than the P3 run is astromical.

Oh definitely P2-3 are easier, I said this in the video myself but I was also being told these were impossible without Y-Wing and evidently they aren't. If you do enough damage, the AI panics and skips the reinforcement for an easier win. Its really playing the AI against itself as a strategy

@@Kaiskh I tested it as much as possible mate. I got 7 straight CM wins and a few Patreons also were 100%. Sadly CG removing test accounts prevented more.

It's literally the most reliable strategy and now the prime one in use by all major guilds. In testing it never lost thus not clickbait, now it's had a much bigger test base by going public, it's still at a huge success rate around 90%. Feel free to show me a more reliable method.

@@mfsars1075 I can confirm this is my guilds strat also. We do around 40 out of 50 wins each phase, much better than the 10-15 we did with Y-Wing and other line ups before. Guild is 296m and 20 stars.
