She's a legend. Any other artist at their best mastery of their voice will never surpass anything Mariah did back in the day, except Whitney Houston lol
@@GgRdarioI disagree. She was amazing in the 90's but sadly not anymore. I think you would think differently if you saw her a few years ago at Times Square New Year's Eve. She could barely move from weight gain and she only sang a few notes of her songs while her back up dancers carried her down the steps and she is demanding hot tea. Just awful..I think she even walked off without finishing and she got booed..
The comments are so ungrateful. Mariah is an actual legend, and while she may not be hitting notes like she used to, she’s still giving her all here too, when she could be at home chilling on her success. Go Mariah.
I used to hit soprano notes and can no longer. She still sings beautifully, but I don't know the logistics of what happens to the voice over time if it's age or not constantly practicing etc.
@@jambu8842 Mariah has irreversible damage dating back to daydream tour 1996. Tokyo Dome is arguably her best vocal performance ever aged 26. With Butterfly, she sang with a soulful fatigue that had a beautiful depth to it. Her voice was tired but Mariah kept singing. After touring with the butterfly album throughout 1998, the following year she records and releases Rainbow. Rainbow is a beautiful record, it contains more in-studio like vocals. Against All Odds is to this day one of my absolute favorite records. Rainbow was recorded primarily at Mariahs in-home studio in Capri. At this time she starts lipping partial performances due to further fatigue. By then, in the year 2001 Mariah releases Glitter, then aged 31 years. Arguably her most vocally acrobatic and studio stylized vocals to date, almost never performing the songs live, as we know... this being a very personally difficult time for Mariah. Performances from Charmbracelet and The Emancipation Of Mimi and so on were increasingly more lipped in differing capacity. Its been 20 years since Charmbracelet and this woman is an absolute treasure. She has given us so much, She unquestionably deserves her credit then/now/forever. We are blessed to see her to this day!
It is many factors, some of which are genetics like her nodules, but it all comes down to the way you sing, what you sing and how often. Like most big singers back then she simply overworked her voice and after some years of constant touring it started to decline. Not enough rest and having all those difficult songs to sing night after night. Same happened to Bon Jovi.
I am bothered by the fact that the hair and posture and dress slit seem to get more attention than the singing. Not to mention that this difficult song has clearly not been rehearsed before the show. All what I've said wouldn't be an issue if the artist weren't Mariah Carey who constantly stresses her vocal superiority and is not shy to look down on those who fail to compete...
her low note is everything
her voice sounds good omg

MARIAH IS THE BEST VOCALIST OF ALL TIME.

это Марайа Кэри !!!
She’s amazing but she butchered all the best times in the song
Что-то явно случилось с ее голосом.

She put some improve on the notes. I like it. Something new of this song for pandemic era.

What happened to Mariah? She used to be so pretty..and her voice? She used to belt this song out..
She’s is allowed to change the way that she sings the song is she not allowed to do that she singing the same shit for years lol
omg. horrible. The constant background singing, back tracks and lyp sync parts can't even save this performance. so sad
