  • This grilling method gives you perfect Barbecue Chicken on the grill without the worry that your Barbecue Chicken will be raw inside. Barbecue Chicken is a tasty and easy meal for most any occasion. I am using a portable charcoal grill for my Barbecue Chicken but you can easily cook Barbecue Chicken on a gas grill or any grill that you can control and create an indirect heat area. You will want to cook your Barbecue Chicken with the lid on your grill to keep in the heat and ensure your Barbecue Chicken gets cooked all the way through. For tailgating be sure to allow about an hour for cooking as well as some extra time to let the Barbecue Chicken to rest. I enjoyed making this Barbecue Chicken video. If you have a suggestion for a video please let me know in the comments below. Thanks for watching.

This video should be named "Grilling Chicken 101." EXCELLENT presentation! I'm going to share this video with a relative of mine who is just getting into grilling. The way you presented this was very easy for a novice to understand all the whys and hows of doing this. You are an AWESOME teacher! Thanks for sharing. :-)

great video, was just thinking if you closed the top vent directly above the coals when indirect cooking ,you wouldn't lose so much heat and get even heat the length of the bbq.

Len, take a hacksaw and cut your cooking grill in half in the middle. That way you can fiddle/add charcoal without disturbing the cooking on the other side. Also, when you close up the grill, the upper grate sections, turned 90 degrees, drop down to the bottom brate and you can store your tools or a load of charcoal inside when closed up. You and I cook much the same, aren't these things great?

Or get the cast iron grates for it, which are split in two already, like you mentioned 👍

You don’t need to turn chicken over ever, especially when using indirect heat.
