Phil I have been reading your stuff in bc outdoors for like 20 years.....about time you got on the tube Imhave 10 acres across the street from Bridge Lake in the lower Cariboo
Thanks for the kind words. I have been on the stubs for a number of years. I am looking forward to adding more frequent content in the coming months. Cheers, Phil
Hey Phil, not sure if you are still tripping or no but back at home there are wind warnings with snow! This video is a reminder of what I am missing with not being able to go to BC yet!......Thanks I think 😁 There is nothing more frustrating than a BC lake, full of trout that fin their noses at you. A friend and I were fishing what he calls his "White Whale" Lake out of Kamloops a couple of years ago. We were fishing the same little bay, same line, same pattern. I released six and he never got a sniff! It has been like that every time we go. I know you have fished this lake because we had seen the show, we covered most of the water you did. All the other lakes we fished were pretty good to us, but this one is consistently stubborn and my friend just can't catch a break! Have you ever fished Kokanee in a lake between Salmon Arm and Kamloops?
Thanks, Kerry, I am still at home doing a lot of online presentations and seminars. I haven't fished the lake you are referring to but I have chased kokanee on other lakes in the Kamloops region. They are an outstanding fish to chase with a fly rod. Really strong runs. Cheers, Phil
@@PhilRowleyFlyFishing I fished that lake Phil, No idea how to catch Kokanee though. There were hundreds maybe thousands of Sculpin along the shore line, the water was crystal clear. K went out in my pontoon boat with shorts. Phil do not wet Wade in that lake!!!! I had swimmers itch so bad I couldn't walk for two days! The doctor in emergency said he had never seen such a bad case. Take care Phil, watch yourself in this wind my friend.
Too bad the D Lake fishing is ruined by the introduction of the horsefly strain in the lake. You would think that such a horrible decision would have been reversed and reintroduced the Pennask in the lake. The excuse is that the horsefly is easier to work with than the Pennask. Just spend 4 days on D** and not even a hint of a bite, no matter which fly fishing technique is used. CIL lure?
Sorry to hear that "D" didn't fish well for you. I haven't been back since or heard of a recent report either, other than yours. The Horsefly Strain seems to be doing well in other lakes. They take longer to mature and will target forage fish which is good in those lakes where forage fish are an issue. Cheers, Phil
@@PhilRowleyFlyFishing Yes KES, Abbott, and ballon, seems to be doing fine , not great , but good fishing. On D lake it looks like they are feeding on shiners. nothing on the shoals for sight fishing like the old days. on June 9 they stock the lake with 250 horsefly diploid yearling. not much update on the lake because we have giving up trying the lake. such a beautiful lake to give up. tight line.

What was the rent on the house
Off the top of my head, I can't remember but if you search AirBnB for Williams Lake it should bring up some options for you.
