I've enjoyed this cam so much throughout the years! The tower lasted 11 years! Since the structural improvements are too great to the current tower...will another tower be built?
Of course, we will continue to watch the other cams, but we'll miss the polar bears!

That tower has been there much longer than 11 years. Dr. Ian Stirling started using it in the early 1970s for polar bear research. There will not be another tower built. The plan is to replace the cam location with a 75-foot crank-up tower/trailer that will be portable.
