1.Slow on the rebuff however with anti stun in it does make sense to go on the offense. He doesn't need many hits to kill me, so when he's assured of not getting locked down getting as many hits as possible does make sense. Not sure I can say if not rebuffing immediately was unwise in that situation. 2. Would you be using stomp of beast king instead of auto attack for chi gain or something? Guess depends on lag if you can pull that off.
The thing you don't see in this fight, is if an opponent starts getting too clever with me, I'll stealth a lot more frequently, both for the chi and to stop an offense in its tracks. Another trick I can use to get a barb to waste their chi is to fly, yes, fly. I can stealth, knife throw them from air, pause a moment, then expel. Watch as they try and drop me. Oddly enough barbs who may not arma fast have no regrets about using 2 sparks to try and drop me from air. Great chi waste tactic.
I assumed he did have it in all the time; it was only afterwards that I found about him switching back and forth, which I told him was probably a bad idea. Do take notice that I didn't get hit all that often, and I was definitely spamming defense charms. Also, in the next vid the barb had in r9rr for much of the fight, least till he switched to the purge weapon, probably halfway through. Nice thing about being demon sin, bp = evasion = barb miss; maze steps = evasion = barb miss.
4. I would use my anti stun when I can read that my opponent is about to use a movement debuff. The cast-time of the assassin-skills are pretty long so you can hereby pull off like 2-3 skills just during that time. Also when I'm purged... 5. ''After charm tick'' is irrelevant, it's more a question if you could kite off until charm ticks again or if your opponent got the damage to kill the rest of your leftoer HP.
Hmm... aggressive I can be, but I also recognize that barbs have so many ways to block your offenses, that trying to kill them fast is not really feasible. Particularly when fighting a demon barb, I can wear them down in terms of chi, by being smart about avoiding hits when they have beastial rage in, and mo zun's on cooldown. I also keep trying to purge them. With mobs all around I can waste chi to tick stuff like beastial rage or invoke or solid shield.
Also he did tell me he was counting on the 2 sparks from cornered beast to survive, but I had frenzy and power dash in. Sure I slo-moed it in the video, but watch it again and normal speed, and there was hardly any time to react, under 1 second I'll bet... I never saw the channeling of anything, he may well have been trying to double spark, or invoke, though invoke wouldn't have been fast enough I suspect.
3. I don't usually stick around when tidal is off. I disagree with this point; if he doesn't try when tidal is on, he will rarely get the chance. If I *knew* you'd never try occult when tidal is on, I can be much more risky (and deadly) during tidal duration. 4. When would you use your anti stun? I don't usually stick around when barb has their anti stun in... 5. Didn't see where this occurred, most of the solid shield were after charm tick.
The tiger form is a valid point; at the same time that contradicts with the new to gain chi back, which a demon must do in standing form. Nonetheless I'll agree he should have switched back and forth more often. The r9rr weapon should also have always been on; I myself pointed that out to him.
What would you have done differently? Chi drain? On a sin? Good luck. More occult? He was using occult, it usually missed. Arma? It'll probably miss. Demon sunder? Tangling mire? Immobilize remove? Fortify? Expel? Belief? Purge pole? I know the tricks Malta... I don't have a demon and sage barb of my own for nothing. This barb is rusty for the same reason I am: dps sins are out of vogue in pk nowadays. Against my cleric this barb is one of the few people I've faught to a draw.
I agree with that, should definitely use tiger form more often to both survive and to use devour, and build chi. I think you played okay, some parts could be better and some parts were nicely handled. When I play sin I play more aggresive than this, ''kinda'' trying to counter my opponents :)
1. There's never a situation where you shouldn't rebuff after purge, except when can ensure your opponent is about to die. 2. Auto-attacks are never good unless you're sparked and just focusing to kill your target... You get more chi in total if you spam skills. 3. It's, more or less, pointless. It's like a waste of 80 energy. Obviously it depends if you can afford this 80 energy loss or doesn't need it for anything more important.
6. You'd probably do the same if you couldn't be 100% sure if I had chi for another triple spark. 7. That could be improved on. 8. Again, I won't stick around when tidal is off... I'll use anti stun, and teleport to mobs to keep distance, and use deep sting and tackling slash from 4.5m away to buy time.
1. Takes him atleast 1 min to rebuff after purge... 2. Always using one auto-attack after every skill... (lol?) 3. Using occult ice and Whirlwind on tidal protection... (it might work but just not recommended...) 4. His skills are being casted without thought... Totally uncoordinated (like, Violent Truimph right after you become immobilized by Tackling Slash and Untamed Wrath for no reason while you're running) 5. Wastes Solid Shield after you spark and you didn't even start to attack him yet...
I think you guys are underestimating the difficulty of a barb fighting against my sin, and how I throw triple spark after triple spark at him (but not when beastial rage is on!) to put his stuff into cooldown. Can you imagine if I was doing this with r9rr daggers instead? I could do all the same stuff but you'd never be able to touch me. *Shrug* maybe you have some killer combos, but until I see em, I'll remain dubious. I have never consistently lost to any barb since I obtained g16 daggers.
Also, I pretty much don't honor when it comes to buffs lol. 1vs1 I will go full buffed, and I'll let you have full buffs too, because the real fight doesn't start till I purge anyways in that case. I'm not quite arrogant enough to think I can do any of what I do in these vids without bm and barb and cleric buffs in. Its just not practical when crits are over half my hp (also why fighting modern arcanes is so difficult, along with their purify proc ofc).
All that being said, his general playstyle wasn't that bad. It is not so easy to keep an assassin locked down as a barb at all. Even Jans, who undoubtedly has better execution, refuses to fight me, because he can't stand how frequently and easily I can outkite his offenses, then return to lock him down and triple spark spam. Jans would also be more vulnerable to my stuns, since his gear is nowhere close to as good as Melons; Jans might die inside a single headhunt even with no tangling mire.
All in all, I think zsw's main point was more important than your list of stuff; that the barb spent too much time in standing form. Back in the day and even now, losses in 1vs1 on sin are uncommon. If somebody I'm fighting looks clumsy and uncoordinated, ask yourself first, is it really because my opponent is no good, or is it because I'm actually doing really well, and they can't keep up? *Shrug* I fight the best my server has to offer, that is all I can do.
6. I don't see why that makes sense. You may have sparks for another triple spark but that doesn't explain why you would waste your solid shield from your previous triple spark. 8. You didn't really use anti-stun in the video when Tidal was off, but sure it's obvious. This is the moment where you try to use Occult ice / Ancestral Rage / Violent Truimph (read 4.) play super aggresive easier said. How the barb actually managed to die later on with CB made me cry. He could even dbl-spark to survive
You did quite well as you don't play sin mainly, but you must admit the barb had loads of mistakes on gennie use mostly, When you are fighting someone selfbuffed there is no point in waste time to purge, 1) You should cut of his chi (Taunt) under 2 sparks; 2) Then 3 sparks him forcing him to use solid shield (60 secs cd);T 3) Then 3 sparks as soon as his Solid Shield is down. 4) Done, GF to you.
You are probably right. The thing was that, going into the fight, I wasn't aware that the purge wasn't necessary. Looking at his gear I thought 'boy I'd better purge that off first', and so I played it safe, lol. His gear looks scarily full of jades, however, he, like many barbs, uses elemental defense ornaments. Therefore I discovered he wasn't quite as tanky as I first thought he'd be. As far as chi drain goes, I actually developed (for the cleric, but it'd work remarkably well here too) a high strength chi drain genie, several weeks ago. So far its worked devastatingly well on everybody I've tried it against :D
wow relax lol, i think you did a good job (both on sin and on your cleric's pvp videos) but this barb could have made your life alot harder, its my opinion and thats about it.No hate intended.
Ha. I read through the crap comments you've made on youtube. You only have bad things to say to others. Its easy to say the barb is bad, but I'll bet I could handle you the same way I did this barb. Armchair critiquing the fight is easy, actually fighting me is another whole ballgame. The barb did OK. Rusty no doubt because aps sins have gone out of vogue... this video is just a reminder that in the right hands, aps sins are still very, very dangerous. Cheers.
6. Wastes Solid Shield because his HP getting low but forgets that your spark is about to run out. 7. Using Mighty Swing 1 sec after a succesfull Occult ice... 8. Tries to kill you by sparking when you have Tidal Protection on... I don't wanna bother to re-watch it again, these are notes I've been pointing out after only 5.30. Take a good look at your own video again and tell me if you think he played anywhere near good... I rarely fight sins but here's one video; tinyurl . com / sadshinbu
Malta said the true XD im barb r9+12 too and i think the barb of the video is a noob , he dont know use this barb skills , a barb with this gear can kill very fast a sin with this stuff , and he havent buffers too

I wish we could fight other servers. Some would honestly be kicked in the teeth. DW FTW
If barb had r9rr weapon your sin would get squished
started fully buffed n started in stealth, horrible.
o.o vit is 90 for sure
mag is 50 i think dex is low maybe n str is more like 60.....
