- Ronan Dunne is one of my favorite mountain bikers to watch. He pushes the limit, has very little fear, and corners like an absolute mad man. In this clean in 3 episode, I really try to push my times and the result meant the MOST improvement between lap 1 and lap 3. I'm stoked!

I love this series!
And I want to document my progress as well.
I'm coming back from an injury that took me out for 3/4 of the last season and that's because I pushed too hard when I wasn't supposed to, because I wanted to go as fast as I did before off season, but now.. lesson learned.
I learned from you that you don't have to push hard every run: "The most important trail of the day is the next one"
thanks man! Sucks to hear about the injury... but I'm glad you're back at it and will prioritize safety! Nobody got time to get hurt and be off the bike that long lol
I love this series. Thank you for sharing it with all of us and it definitely lights the fire under me to try harder in my riding too! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what's around the corner 🤜🤛
Ah thanks for the positive comment! I’m stoked you’re enjoying it and that’s awesome to hear it’s helping encourage you to push yourself!
Yeah buddy! Nice line at 5:22.
Thanks man! i think that track has a lot more cheeky lines to save a couple more seconds
I’ve been really liking bowfinger recently, feels like you can hold way more speed than stormy. Nice lines!
100% agree! The up and over into the chute on stormy is fun but all around I think I enjoy bowfinger more too
Great riding Mr Corbin!
Thanks man! Nice rebrand ;)
Been loving these videos. Seems like a great way to progress. I think I’m gonna start to do this in the spring on some of my local trails!
It would be really cool to see my favorite mountain bikers on RUclips pick up the Clean in 3 format!
Heck yeah man! We should do one at the rock roll section on tres haha
Oh yeah bud. Ripping!!
Thanks! This one felt like a huge improvement from lap 1 to 3
I think I've got a line tip for you. I've never ridden this track but at 9:46 if you can get far right between that green root in the center and the tree it'd probably be better as you straighten out the corner. You'd be sacrificing some entrance speed for exit speed.
trueee! that section is pretty up and over with the off camber roots. probably the most "gopro effect" section of track but I do think that line could work really well. There's a few like that I saw while editing this, taking the corners more inside as opposed to trying to hit the berm side. such a fun way to ride
Since you're really getting into the technique of all this, there's something that I wish existed: It would be awesome to see/hear braking in real time. I know that metallic pads in wet conditions do a good job of informing when and how much braking is being applied, but some kind of tech/sensor that could visualize that for video would be incredible. I'm sure it totally exists for professional racers.
Brake lights on screen would be interesting! It is wild how much faster you go when you focus on braking less.
@@Levi-is-Outside Exactly. Some kind of color indicator from red to green showing how much power is on the brake. I found a thing called BrakeAce which records exactly this kind of data but it probably costs a small fortune.
@brakeace Can you hook our boy up?
@@ChristopherBloom @brakeace should sponsor Corbin for the clean in 3 vids
@@katieguzenko6853 I'll start the letter-writing campaign.
That helmet looks huge on you haha. My RPC squishes my cheeks but it covers my actual face haha. It's been cold up there lately. Gonna get 2 weeks of it here in the next couple days.
Haha yeah the wide angle lens makes it look massive! You riding in the snow?
@@MTB_Corbin I'll be in Oregon so I'm sure It will just be cold and rainy. Don't think any of the spots are high enough elevation but hey I could be totally wrong! My sis is in Bellingham (which I'm planning on moving to in the next year or so) and I know they are getting some. Got my base layers ready though lol.
What camera you rocking? Been using a 13 black but the FOV on widescreen is kind of weak, so I just picked up the ultra wide lens attachment. Cannot waiiiiit film a few runs at tiger this week 👌
hopefully tiger is snow free!

still shreddin it snow or not 😈
Homie. You gotta brake BEFORE the corner.
Straights are for fast bikes… corners are for fast riders. I could watch 20 “how to corner” videos and would still probably grab brake during the turn, idk how to stop the addiction!
I bet you could improve your time substantially by being more active with your pumping. Supported corners, and sustained downward slopes are begging for a few pumps. I took a lesson with Darren Butler last summer on the shore, and the guy had me going scary fast. I made a video about it if you want some new ideas to play with.
100% agree. I actually cut out a whole analysis section where I talk about pumping more. Nice to hear the lesson helped you!
Butler is the man!
