It's so useful that you speak Spanish so well. Not just so that you can explain what you need but also so that you can have meaningful dialogue. Loving it❤
That’s kind of you to say, but I have a very long way to go with my Spanish fluency. But you are right that having a good language skill helps to be able to connect to all these amazing people that we meet along the way.
Oh Mira and John, you inspire. Not sure if my Bianchi can make it up those hills! However looking at doing more bike packing throughout Mexico. Cozumel to wherever....living the dream, one crank at a time. Love watching you guys.
This is absolutely beautiful. And super inspiring!! I'm taking a lot of what I've learned from following you on my first major adventure on 800 miles of the GDMBR
@@OmniTierra We've talked on IG but we are starting our route in Whitefish, MT and will be riding to the Grand Tetons National Park. We are going at a relatively easy pace. But who knows how many miles we'll really get in on average. We plan on just enjoying the scenery and taking in the ride, similar to how you and Mira do it. I'll likely do the entire thing is sections at a time but will probably be on my own for the rest. But again, thanks for the time it takes you to document your rides. I've been doing a bit of videoing on my YT channel for family and friends to view. It's definitely work but great to look back on. Stay safe on your travels and maybe our paths will cross someday. Thanks also for all of your advise!
Such a blessing to see you and Mira doing what the both of you love to do. I had a rough day today and watching your video helped me to relax and unwind and most of all smile! Take care and be safe!
Thanks again for putting your videos back on UTUBE, you’re travels in Mexico 🇲🇽 are awesome, always love seeing Mira bouncing are , hopefully you can ride with Ryan soon , get him out of the snow , Mira always puts a smile on my face, the scenery is spectacular, always look forward to your next video
Hola John, Canadian here. Very curious about your portable water filtration. We live in Mexico most of the year and do a lot of biking. That could come in handy. Love Mira and love what you are doing.
Hey Jackie, most of the time I use a Steri-pen. I am packing platypus system for South America because I expect that there will be times where I want to filter larger volumes of water. my Steri-pen has been very reliable over several years and the battery lasts quite a long time
Thanks for watching and making the comment my man. it’s probably gonna be a little while. We got the rest of this hemisphere to ride before there’ll be any chance of us returning to🇨🇦 Be safe 🤗💕🐕. Say hi to the rest of the lads for me.🤘
That’s where the 600% range of the @Pinion P 12 comes in handy. 12 equally spaced. Gears over a massive range. Allows us to ride almost anywhere. Very little service required. 🤗💕🐕
Sorry didn't put the rest of my comment. Love your style of adventure and peaceful way about you a d mira. Be safe e well ill be watching. SJ sending my love and prayers always for you and mira the graceful pup.
Thanks SJ. It’s not always easy, riding and stopping to set up the camera or pull out the drone adds to that a little bit. if you guys are enjoying these videos and wanna keep watching more, I’m happy to keep putting them out there. Riding with Mira is always fun so that won’t stop 🤗💕🐕
Thanks for sharing your adventures! Your camping spot at 11:00 is next to one of the amazing trees of this area: Quercus tarahumara, an oak with some of the largest evergreen oak leaves (at least I think that's what it is.) -- I hope to one day see it in person too.
Nice you met some fellow countryman, thats great. I am from germany too and i love your Bike Packing videos. Great work! Keep going and all the best for you both!
Just saw this in full length on instagram! Wowwww as always..putting Dateline/60 minutes to shame you two! Hahahaha Mira in her element always focused and ready for adventure. John you look fresh and strong friend! Keep up the good work. These clips are always so well filmed and narrated it puts me right there with ya! Ahhh this gorgeous planet we have. Safe travels team Mira & John!
Hi, loving what you do, my kids are loving it. You are a great inspiration for them. Keep it that way, as long as it is a way you attend to be. Kudos to you and Mira. BTW, we find you because of your friend Ryan VD. Thank you.
Great video John, I really enjoyed this one; the scenery and commentary were amazing! The people you meet are so kind and give me hope that all's not lost in this world gone mad! Thank you John & Mira!
I have found just looking at the world through a more clear lens shows all the beauty. The people we meet on this trip I have been so kind and friendly and curious. I have no reason to think that that won’t continue as we pass from one country into another. In fact, before the end of the week will be in another country. 🇭🇳🤗💕🐕
I started watching and I thought you had uploaded the wrong video as I knew I had already watched it, then I read the video description oops😂Well worth watching again anyway, I thought the first upload was fine John😊
Yeah, thanks for that. Some people were having sound issues so I thought I would use it as a good experiment to make some changes try and improve the sound levels throughout the video
Man,you and that dog, been going everywhere,i was used to seeing you with Ryan Van duzer,i think,is his name,i didn't know you make videos too, great get pay while your living live your way.👍👏👏
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to make a comment. I’m not sure what you’ve seen on RUclips, but it is not a great way to make money. The only thing that helps somewhat is the amazing folks that support us on Patreon. Making these videos is definitely not a moneymaking venture for us.🤔💕🐕
Don’t forget we are travel around the world on a bike. To make the videos and upload to RUclips I have to book some sort of accommodation with good WiFi. The time and cost definitely add up. It’s just the reality of this. Most YT’rs return to there home office to work on videos. I’m definitely trying to get more videos edited. We are on Instagram too. @omnitierra @mira_la_perra
@@OmniTierra thanks John! I bought his dyneema 1p but it was a little small, i hit the sides and got my sleeping bag a little wet. I have the older style 2p and will probably use that on the gdmbr ..it's 2 lbs compared to one but I've heard you can spend a lot of time in the tent on the ride
Always enjoy your videos but the Copper Canyon ride is freaking amazing! I have a couple of questions: I know you are using the Gates Pinion drive but what frame are you using ? Is it aluminum? A nice looking bike! What tires do you like and what is the width? Can not wait for the next video! Be safe. Mira is one of a kind K9!
Typically we ride tires that are 2.4 to 2.6 wide. If I was riding in a place like Baja, I might use wider. We are working on a new version of this bike. This bike is titanium and the new one will be as well. I’ll be able to share more information on the new bike 🤗💕🐕. There’s a very good chance that it will be available to the public. 🤔 If that’s something that interesting to you, let me know
Places at the Copper Canyon there’s almost no service of any kind. So it’s been a while since I was in the Copper Canyons. Now I’m not even in the same country.😳💕🐕
If you’re using the word shower as a proxy for washing up and bathing, then I do that every single day. I just don’t need plumbing to be able to do that. I have shown it in a previous video, but I’ll bring it up again in the future. I wouldn’t want to stay all sweaty and dirty and try to sleep that way either. It’s not healthy and it’s not comfortable.
You've probably covered it before. However, I've been thinking about it alot in my apparent mid life crisis but how do finance this kind of a lifestyle?
I haven’t talked about finances, but I will in a future video. I think it’s kind of interesting what we have going on. Definitely several small streams of income. But the main thing is reducing expenses. That’s probably what it is for most people. It’s definitely no crisis the crisis would be staying in a 6 figure soul destroying job 🤪
@@OmniTierra awesome! Yes I agree the 9 to 5 (or in my case 5 to 5....blech) is horrible.
