The downshifts eargasms on this setup are so good! Just imagine the face on the porsche driver when he was overtaken. Also the suspension was properly tuned, you can tell by how well it takes load shifts Very very good!
Hey everyone, Thanks for the nice comments about the car. Just thought I'd clear up some specs on the car as I may have missed some details out on the video. The engine is fully built and making 370bhp verified on our Maha dyno. However the torque output is kept low (440nm) to help reduce when spin on corner exit. An unbuilt B48 engine would not put up with this level of tune and we've also have to add additional radiators and an oil cooler to keep the temps under control. The car is around 1450kg with a driver and passenger. So just shy of 1300kg. Not that light the Mini's but they are built quite well. The whistling noise is the windscreen (annoying, I know).
It’s about the same as my stock ecu but r600 intake and GPF back cupra (still locked unfortunately) but of course only because it’s manual and takes a second to come back on boost if it was dsg or zf it looks like it would be quicker especially up top where you can see it’s got a little more power
It's amazing how much speed that car carries through the turns and on the straights. Great driving by you, Misha. And the owner did a really amazing job setting that car up. Well done all around.
Another brilliant MINI video as always! This looks to be the best one I've seen yet based on how it's setup. Power wise, it does look as though it has around 300hp (compare that to videos of the GP3 and the BMW M135i F40, and you'll see the pace looks similar.) That's some insane cornering, too - I can literally feel and see the agility through the screen. Lest we forget, the composure for a short wheelbase, front wheel drive car is amazing - that, too, with rather minimal understeer! All in all, this is one of the best MINI videos, and Mischa just proved that the spirit of MINI is still alive - it is, after all, a relatively small car that can fight with the previous iterations. 10/10
I used to work with him. Really nice bloke and very intelligent. After working for other teams for a few years he set up his own company and team and won the Mini Challenge as a driver a few years ago. Hybrid Tune are a great company with no bullshit
I like f56 mini. Some hate towards them, but I think they are good. They certainly look a lot better than the new one lol. Especially in the interior department. Good talk between you guys too.
Wrong. Challenge 210 is basically a sticker pack and some carbon. The Mini JCW Challenge 290 is one that got the factory Nitrons, Quaife and Cup 2s an Evo magazine involvement. This dude tried to build his own JCW Challenge.
It would be cool if someone takes a track spec / properly modified R60 Countryman to the ring. It’s pretty rare to see. They are actually the same size and weight as a MK8 Gti.
Proper bit of kit that, would be interested in a comparison between this and mine in the summer. 260bhp, kw suspension, bmw m135i brakes. My pockets aren’t as deep as this guys unfortunately haha. 👍🏼
I just bought a 2013 Genisis coupè 2.0 turbo manual! Would love to see how it would dive here! Last 2 cars were Lexus is250 paddle & 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 3.8 v6 manual would love to see how those cars drive here!!! Bucketlist to drive on this tack with misha some day soon! #stayingOnTheGrind
Toe out is a requirement if you want to be fast in a FWD. I had 4mm toe out in the rear on my DC5 ITR. It's not an issue whatsoever if you have a good LSD.
As strange as it sounds...helps the car turn... On the road though, you will notice the car will be copying the road profile, so it can generate some surprises... as well as on slippery tarmac
@fkampak yes, at the of the day it is whatever suits you, i for example use toe out on the front to help initial turn in with huge camber, rear toe in to help with stability on a r35... I tested many set ups on rwd feont and rear engined cars so i know what the base set up should be then you go from there... Fwd i do not know, that is why i ask because i am genuinly eager to learn more, i no way it is a critic.
@@realmadspeed1785 Loose is fast, but not for everyone, and not for every car. If you have a strong LSD and good tires, you trust in your ability for the front end to pull you wherever you need to be. You keep the back loose so the car can rotate, and you keep your foot on the gas and point the front tires where you want to go and let the differential take you there. You use this same method with AWD cars, TBH.
Wouldnt a bit over 300hp on that engine be safe without forged pistons? Maybe not in track use? Or am I running too much? Im running around 300hp on clubman in street use
Que marca de suspensiones son?, las copelas regulables?, cuanta caída delantera y trasera lleva,2 grados delante y detrás 1,5.... máquina total, like a lot the mini.
@@fane80 Watch out for those “just a remap” story’s you hear. Most of those engines don’t have a happy ending. Defenetly do supporting mods like an intercooler, charge pipe and ideally oil cooler. These should defenetly be done before you try to push 270HP. Yes the B48 in the Cooper S CAN handle it with just a remap, but the supporting mods will defenetly help keeping your engine alive. Engine mounts will go sooner than you expect. They are dog shit. I would advise to install some powerflex with a new engine mount. Other than that, its an amazing platform. If however you decide to track your Cooper S, just get a JCW or be prepared to get the JCW brake kit. From my experience its hard or nearly imposible to find good track pads for the Cooper S brake system
Absolutely love a well balanced properly modified track weapon. These just keep on showing that the need for power comes after everything else is properly modified to be able to benefit from the power at ALL. Too many egoist horsepower setups with poor handling out there.
5:25 Misha thinking some vtec crossover around 6500 revs but sadly nothing happens but rev limiter. This car could be nice with k20 turbo or something like that 😂😂

love a little mini coop lol

NIce to see a perfect modded Mini and a happy owner enjoying his car!very nice lap!
Thank you Misha and Hybrid Tuner owner. I have a manual F56 and had been waiting for this for a while. Awesome set up!
I like the owner. Seems normal, explains himself.

With the angle of those top mounts I'd say man's got some extra castor going on there 👊👍
that was a good run, not over the top, nice set up.
That passenger is soooo chill. Nice to see.
Very beautiful, exhilarating experience! I love driving vicariously with Misha properly at the wheel. Thanks to the owner of the hot wheels.

Finally , a f56 with manual transmission 🎉
A Bini thats actually properly sorted for Nurburgring :-)
Loved the lap, such fun to watch!
when you feel the nimbleness of a short wheelbase car, the ease and the vivacity it takes turns with is wonderful 👌💯
Reminds me of "david vs goliath" videos from goodwood. Fab F56 setup. I have a Mini, turbo and bonnet stripes, but that's where similarities end :D
Brilliant spec the challenge, pretty sure Evo magazine were involved in the original development of these limited edition

Good good, how are you?

Could you please make a video about left foot braking/trail braking? Also some pedal cam footage would be nice 🙌
that white up if had abit more hp wold be very interesting, that car had some serious grip!
Maxi Mini 🎉

Yeah i was super surprised 140, that there's enough runway to keep that speed
hey man id really like to see you send a radical rxc turbo down the track!!!
Sure, me too :)
When will you make a video about a Mini Cooper JCW R56?
Good video
Mini coopee is fantastic car🎉

Stancing on the rear that actually makes sense for once!
Glad it was a full lap and not a mini one 😊
is this car FWD or AWD? Seems very grippy considering it has 370 horses.
FWD

AROUND 175WHP

Hahaha that’s exactly like mine. Even same color.
Misha, thoughts on the 2013 bmw 120 coupe? Im looking one to buy here in Chile and i would like your opinion pleeeease!
Rock on!
what number is that one out of 210?
Does someone know what's that high-pitched noise that appears at like 180kph?
are they really that heavy? 1300+ kg? Everywhere online it says a maximum of 1235 from what ive seen
Curb weight should be around 1230KG. Honestly for modern standards thats pretty good imo. Around the same weight as a GR86

Das ist doch ein Turbo Motor, warum bis 6500 u/ min drehen ?
what a crazy ride...all the 911 drivers looking for therapy sessions
Nicely built car, just needs a serious weight reduction
It will definitely be a bit twitchy then 👍
+370hp on a B48 oof, you need a built engine yeah ! Piston failure are common even with ""only"" 300hp
B48 with low engine compression ratio will be okay, for example mini jcw and bmw 30i
Lol fast mini
Having recently seen a lap with Ferrari 488 Pista this looks now slow in comparison 😅
Could probably buy 10 of these for the price of a Pista though.🤣
Shouldn't it be faster for something that has 300hp+? It works if it has 250-280.
Yea looks like 300hp or less
Under 250 hp I think
he said 370 i believe, but prolly a very generous dyno 😅
Past that BMW off bat
know minis for a bit longer know got myself 3 and the mods are not needed for 3xx hp so sounds a bit sketchy
