      There are a few accelerometer companies you can go with. PCB Piezotronics is my favorite manufacturer of accelerometers. Also, Dytran is good especially from a budget standpoint.

    are accelerometers good to detect tremors in Alzheimer's patients instead of using piezos?

      Not too familiar with tremors in Alzheimer's patients, but I do know there are white papers on using wireless accelerometers with Parkinson's patients. Only concern I would have is how to reliably create a "connection " of the accelerometer to the patient with minimal decoupling. Most likely a tightly fitted ban with an attached wireless accelerometer would be the best route to go.

      there are plenty of monotone engineering lectures.....at least this guy is interested. In fact, it may sound forced to you, but some of us legitimately get excited about this stuff.
