I've heard that since early 2000. PH was bared to construct super tall buildings because of the location fo the airport. Taguig BGC has building height limit too, and also PH is prone to disasters like the supertyphoons and earthquake. Theres a reason JAPAN doesnt build skycrapers even though they are very good in technology its too risky knowing they just have experience huge earthquakes. Here in Nuvali we dont need high rise sh1t buildings because we enjoy the beauty of the natural landscapes and we can accomodate business offices without building such. The foreign investors dont need sh1t tall buildings here. They also enjoy the natural landscapes here. Its good that the developers and landowners prohibits high rise structures in Nuvali and is a good law implenented here.
Philippines is still developing to be a economic power by 2040. no need for tall buildings, landmark yet. Remember We slept for 30 years of no progress during the aquino and yellow dark ages. So we could have been economic power earlier. PBBM and PRRD are fixing our problem and recovering fast
other factor is that the Philippines are an archipelagic country and lots of airports.
We need more connectivity to each other with better roads & trains, no more power lines above ground with no brown outs, super speed internet everywhere, but NO SKYSCRAPERS
Yes, We really need to Fast-Track the Construction of Manila's Rapid Transit, if I become Mayor, I will do a Major Fast-Tracking, by Encouraging Construction Companies to Use Prefabs, and 3D Printing.
We don't need a High Sky scrapers we need more dreams and action to develop our country.!!!!! Shout out from Abu Dhabi UAE.!!!!!(
PHILIPINES IS A SOARING HIGH
We're always last, lost and least when it comes to everything. We are even surpassed by Vietnam, Cambodia, or Nigeria.
Informative good content.
The Philippines and Japan share the threat of natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons. Also, Japan has only two supertall buildings, and until this year, there was not a single supertall building in Tokyo.
I want the PH to build a big staidum instead like an olympic stadium with a capacity of 100k.
PH only needs one significant tallest building that embodies the soul of the city and country.
Kailan kaya talaga magkakaroon ng iconic supertall ang pelepenz?
Pag may pampagawa ka na

Philippines go go go go
a tall skyscraper is useless if there is not enough open parks or greenspaces infront of it.
we need more trees and parks to improve our air quality
We don't need supertall buildings....what the PHILIPPINES needs is Modern RAILWAYS,AIRPORTS,SEAPORT, BRIDGE'S a public TRANSPORTATION, and good ROADS for a better connectivity in the whole archipelago. And if I may add something power plants so we can have lower electricity rates and for our energy security in a booming economy like the 🇵🇭👍
Look at these examples:Australia with Sydney Opera House and Taj Mahal of India. These infrastructures are not the tallest but popular. The Philippines can have ICONIC Building that doesn't need to be supertall. I would like to have in the country a Statue of Diversity like the Statue of Liberty in America.
Sydney opera house and the like might be a government project but tall building are built by business people for their business interest.
I dont care about supertall bldg..we need more train.
Just wait and see there will be more BGCs to come here in the country God blessed 😊👍
also many people like to saw ph's tallest skyscrapers soon like the Burj Khalifa in dubai that has an world record in doing that.Iam also designing 2 skyscrapers(i am still G8)
filipinos are good in designing ,hmm...what if their will be a megatall/supertall building in any part of the philippines.
The Pacific Ring of Fire says: “ge, go lang” 😈
Heaven forbid Intramuros and the old Spanish part of Manila (and the other old Spanish style cities established during the Spanish era) be torn down for gigantic skyscrapers. Many European cities dont even have skyscrapers in their downtowns (Paris is a perfect example).
Bat naman sisirain ang Intramuros? Intramuros is an important part of history. Kung may babaguhin, siguro yung others parts ng Manila City na lang
An iconic building can boost tourism..
so sad no super tall building in my country😰😰 cose all cancelled of more reason, no1 reason is corruption and high elec bill.. hope no longger have it in cebu, Iloilo, or davao🙄👍💪🙏
No need for a supertall.
Take out those spaghetti wires, more subway lines, zero squatters: these things are necessity NOW. Not a Supertall.
We need more super structure BRIDGES between Luzon to Visayas to Mindanao.
we need to be self-sufficient in food. we are currently importing rice, sugar, fish, vegetables, even salt. Cheap and abundant supply of food will make Filipinos happy not seeing tall buildings around we do not own.
Exactly. At bakit why are we importing rice sa Vietnam when we should be exporting rice worldwide to Europe, south America and USA. Filipinos may not own big tall buildings downtown, pero, some familes do have many lands, rice farms and plantations. Why cant the phillipines be the #1 exporter of rice and exotic fruits to the rest of the world? Illinois sells its soybeans n corn worldwide and its only 1 measly state. Why cant the phillipines
So true. I have gone to BGC and Makati, and all the tall buildings will make you feel left out.
Daming comment na Ayaw talaga sa pag unlad ng bansa. Bakit Kaya ganun mindset ng mga Filipino. ? Pa atras lagi
Princesa Tower and the SJS Maritime Empire could potentially be the provincial-level supertall buildings.
You hv to be mindful about earthquakes. The taller the structure the higher the centre of gravity. So it becomes unstable. I think taipei 101 is a risk for taiwan as there are earthquakes in taiwan too. Same with jakarta.
But the Philippines lagged behind in these 3 vital sectors: Manufacturing, Energy Production and Agriculture
Energy Production and Agriculture pwede pa masulosyunan pero yung Manufacturing di natin yan kaya, sobrang mahal sa Pinas 😂
That's right. Who cares about tall buildings. You need great roads, efficient rail system, seaports, etc.
Europe doesn't have super tall building most of it are old European non glass style but they are rich.
A super tall building with a small building foot print is more environmentally friendly than a 3 to 4 story building with a very huge building foot print. Look at HongKong, they manage to maintain and preserve 70 percent of their forest since their own government limits the urban development to a maximum of only 30 percent of the total area of HongKong.

Europe isnt that rich... They look rich coz they have very low population thats why GDP per capita is high there... And people are well educated thats it
@@gbknowledgeinfo9047 why america big population, but most powerful
@@dantesalazar7805 where big population bro... They are just 300 million... If india and china had 300 million population then they both countries would be more rich and powerfull that USA... its just a game of poplation... Otherwise china and india would have more GDP per capita than western countries 😇
I mean, they are difficult to construct. Or send 20-40 construction workers to complete it in just 5 years. We just need world-class roads and transportation. I don't know if it will have the top spot for the tallest building in the world.
the ddt skytower will soon to be built and it will stand at 280m
With hollow blocks?
Keep me posted. Thanks
building high towers is not suitable in the philippines, we are a land of typhoons and earthquakes. why not invest fixing problems like water shortage, garbage disposal system, renewable energy and greener phils? that what makes more filipino proud.
makati and bgc are world class. we dont need super skyscraper. what we need is a cultural tourist destination. like intramuros and binondo restore the old look and develop the area.
We don't need a supertall skyscraper. Our country still has a lot of cities that need development. Better focus on spreading investments in other cities
Running down the stairs from 17th floor during an earthquake is bad enough already.
We don't need tall towers, what we need are healthy citizenry, educated people, good infrastructure for transportation and mobility
Pag natapos na ang New Manila Intl Airport and Sangley Intl Airport, isasara na ang NAIA at icoconvert into business district. Pwede nang literal na sky's the limit ang labanan.
How about both?
Meron naman taung supetall a. Grand Hyatt sa BGC is 318 meters tall.
Only spire antenna not floor 250m floor height
We need industries and jobs, so that after 25 years I can go home. Wait until the next big earthquake. It's been 25 years since the last earthquake. That's the way to know the buildings are structurally sound.
BASTA MGA PINOY ANG NAG PLANO PURO DRAWING AT PANAGINIP LANG
The Philippines don't meed to build high rise buildings over 60 - 70 stories high....what the Philippines need are iconic designed buildings that are world class..
imagine, being able to personally witnessed those proposed towers since Centennial Tower and after 20 years wala ni isang naipatayo? that even Grand Hyatt is said to be not 318m but rather a 280M up to the pinnacle, is such disappointment. But, the author did not mentioned that there is a height restriction of only 250meters for a high-rise to be built in Metro Manila. That is why no proposed towers higher than 250m were ever materialized (250m up to the roof) Grand Hyatt is 250m up to the roof and 30m spire. Other example is Trump tower was supposed to be 280m pero ayun, kapantay lang ng gramercy. The Park central was proposed to be 270m pero nag top off na mas mataas pa ang Discovery Primea. Let us see with the Estate Makati kung matutupad ang pangakong 280m nito.
For safety purpose we dont need so much high buildings because we are earthquake prone,we are located in the Pacific Ring of Fire
iconic suoertall is to be constructed by private entity why people here are complaining about it and suggesting better Infra proj instead , eh si govt ang gagawa nyan hindi si private.
si govt pa nga makikinabang sa impact ng suoertall
jeddah tower was already abandoned.. there is new site of development in saudi the neon city
neom city not neon, in the province of tabuk
I don't know pagcor tower will be office or residential
i dont find tall buildings appealing since they only blocks view. for example, italy ,france and germany japan have gorgeous and modern cities, but none of them have super tall buildings. im oppose to giant concrete rectangular structure as it proves that to be a modern city , it doesnt have to have mega tall building.
its a prone to earthquake and typhoons every year.. 28 typhoons every year. PH DOESNT NEED TALLEST. BUT BIGGEST. WE HAVE SO MANY BIGGEST
There have super tall buildings in Philippines you can find it in Makati City & BGC, The Philippines skycrapper is incredible.
Haha dwarf building compare in asean especially in kuala lumpur and vietnam above 400m
Even without, Philippines economy is growing by leaps n bounds, growing more than some of its ASEAN counterparts... take los angeles for example. A city known worldwide, but it has maybe only 1 or 2 buildings barely over 1000ft like the phillipines Hyatt. Yet almost a third of California population and industrial output comes from la county... Manila is also like that.... but has 10 million more ppl in less than half the size of los angeles
@@devinatompong4765 Metro Manila (BGC, Makati city, Pasig city etc..) have a lots of incredible modern tall buildings that beat skycrapper of KL, Jakarta, Bangkok,Hanoi, ho chi minhi ok?
Going business in Cebu, Davao,,Pampanga, including Bacolod city will surely drive the economy rather than a super structural building

Once money flows in (by loosening foreign ownership requirements), the corruption will reduce.
Philippines has a huge and beautiful skyline but no urban planning for residentials.
Do we need it? Australia is not known for it's tall building but for a ageless architectural masterpiece such as the Sydney Opera House. EU cities abhor supertalls, Super-tall buildings are not practical look at those in China and Dubai that are almost empty. We need a building that has a soul that will put our country in the architectural map and not an expensive empty building.
It might look good but not much for anything else. Just look at what happened to Dubai, too many vanity projects but didn't make it a more livable and comfy place.
And almost all Philippine cities haven't even covered basic urban infrastructure.
no way SMC or Ayala or Pangilan group wont compete on the tallest building in the philippines
i have dream we build like tallest building in the Pilippines likeFreedom tower / One World Trade Center or Petronas Tower ..soon Manila Airport will transfer there is a chance for Supertall Building
According to future cities 20 countries with more skyscrapers phils ahead of singapore, thailand and indonesia on the number of skyscrapers.
