Every instrument in this song is well played and in unity!! Get a set of headphones and you can hear how the drummer not only compliments the bass but matches some of the solo riffs that Brian Kahanek plays!! The bass line is so frickin smooth and funky at the same time!! The more I listen to this song the more I love it!
I know I'm late by 2 months, but I totally agree with you. Ive been a fan of Megadeth for years, and I hate it when people try to talk Megadeth with me just cuz they know a couple of songs from GH and/or RB. One person I know who loves the GH/RB games once asked me if he could borrow my Black Sabbath CDs to put on his iPod, and I just said no. I knew he just liked War Pigs and Paranoid, and if you like those songs, great, go pay a buck each to download em. Btw, I do like this piece. Very nice.
I watched this video just because it was on guitar hero 2 and I love the very beggining of the song but the rest is just alright, still a really great song.
the song that got away, this was the runaway hit of GH2 if you were playing and knew anything about music, hell even if you didn't as evidenced by my guitar-hero only friends! This needs to be on greatest hits just cuz
So true, all the other songs were just there because they were popular otherwise. The first time I heard that song in GH2 I had to control myself from really getting into the music...(I was in public) But dammit, as soon as I got home I friggin' went insane listening to this.
people listen just cause people get this song from guitar hero doesn't mean they are bad if guitar hero sent them here to listen to it, it just means they are inspired to listen to this kind of music so before you go judging people for doing that, you might want to think, atleast these people that came here cause of guitar hero came here from the inspiration that they got and that they didn't choose to go to bieber music.
If Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Duane Allman ran into each other in Heaven and wrote a song together, I believe the result would sound like this.
Well Kahanek can sing too, but it's in the style of them, also SRV was basically all about guitar, he could write songs, but the basis of it was the guitar parts (same with Hendrix)
the bottom line to any good musician is 'if it sounds good, chances are, it is good.' i prefer to learn by ear because i think in an auditory sense, but if someone else can play it well through another source, then there is no problem.
I'm not being a cocky prick. I will admit, I found plenty of new music through guitar hero, but I looked the band up and listened to all of their stuff instead of just singling out one or two specific songs and not giving the rest of the music a chance. There is plenty of damn good music that doesn't get popular and doesn't get attention and it is really sad because people like that only listen to a couple songs from a band and the rest of the music gets forgotten.
Just cuz I didnt let him borrow my CDs doesnt mean I closed the doorway to that music for him. It doesnt take much to research a band a little, and find a few songs to listen to, and decide if you actually want to go buy the music. And also, if Id have given him those CDs to download, I would have basically helped him steal from the artists themselves. If he really wanted the music that badly after I said no, he could have listened to a few songs, and bought the CDs himself if he liked them.
I'm gonna have to go 50/50 with you. It's true that trying to play by ear is tough, very tough, but the fun out of it is to mimic what someone else just play without looking at a sheet. But then again, playing by ear is by far the hardest to learn even if it takes you up to nine years (not sayin you did). But either way, anyone can still be a great guitarist rather if they can play by ear or not. Also, I can play by ear if it only involves one string......
@th3691 hey nickelback is a great band.... and so is this one just cause you dont like nickelback dosent mean you have to shoot it down....... and if it sucks so much then how come youve heard of then and listened to them? ask your self that question the next time you try to shoot down a great band...plus explain why they have sold millions of albums....
Where the hell can I get the tabs from!!! I hate learning by ear as I've only had a guitar for 1 month and a half and cant do it. I've been learning Canon Rock by ear and I only got through 3 and a half minutes. I NEED to learn Gemini its amazing but i cant do it by ear. HELP ME. GIVE ME TABS.....TABS! PLEEEASE!!!
tabs are no bueno. all the good guitar players learned what they know by ear. tabs are okay every now and then, but if youre looking to get good then use your ears instead of your eyes.

id have to say its one of the most fun and 1 of the best guitar hero bonus songs ever
Amazing amazing amazing! Love this song hard. Brian Kahanek is an amazing guitarist. This is like a fusion of the greats.... love it.
I have this song on Guitar Hero 2, so fun to play it. Loved it ever since I started playing this song.
Love the song. Who ever the bass player was a humble genius. He can groove like crazy.
For everyone who liked this song back on Guitar Hero 2, it's coming to Rock Band 3 soon. =D
Holy shit that bass solo is awesome. I'm going to learn it now!
YES. I have finally found another song that has a bass guitar solo. Bassists are ALWAYS overlooked unfortunately :(
i love this song. i play it on guitar hero all the time

definately one of my inspirational guitarists...
awsome song, loved playing it on gh2 on my ps2, after my xbox broke.
I watched this video just because it was on guitar hero 2 and I love the very beggining of the song but the rest is just alright, still a really great song.
This may not be my favorite song in Guitar Hero 2, but it's one of the most beautiful.
the song that got away, this was the runaway hit of GH2 if you were playing and knew anything about music, hell even if you didn't as evidenced by my guitar-hero only friends! This needs to be on greatest hits just cuz
you have a great point. as GH2 says, their life is next to impossible.
some cred to the bass, and synth. (
This is my favorite song to play in Guitar Hero 2, the most fun for me to play anyway. I was sooo pissed when my PS2 broke...

I love it, so much!
One of my favorite song on guitar hero 2 beside Freebird, Soy Bomb and Carry on Wayward Son !
If Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Duane Allman ran into each other in Heaven and wrote a song together, I believe the result would sound like this.
You sure got that right!
They only have the intro which I already learn't by ear...I'm tabbing the rest myself. Contact me about it if you want.
Totally agreed with you

My Favorite is Still "Victory"

@AboveDelusion this is true.
This sounds reminiscent of Freddie King's "Remington Ride"
please get it fixed sooner i really love this song. i've trying to learn it by ear but i haven't rlly been plying guitar long enough to do that!
This song is fucking raw
Agreed.

i know exactly what you mean... BUT, playing good music takes time. just like anything else.
Tank you very much for the trouble
AWSUM!!
Que relajante :3
this is so sick!
@abelpellegrino I could, but that would require me to set up my guitar again, and that is a pain in the ass with a floyd rose.
this song's a bonus song a GH2, i am trying to find it on Playlist.com but for some reason nothing comes up when i search :(
YYZ by Rush is just filled with pure bass-magic! Check it out!
@bamarshmallow1 millions of albums sales doesn't mean that the band or artist is good. It just means millions of people have bad tastes :D

it aint Beatles GH, its Beatles RockBand
I'm a sheet music kind of guy. More specifically lead sheets, chord charts and fake books. Too lazy for the full arrangement with accents and such.
Seconded! XD
:D
the last minute kinda ruins the buzz by speeding up
Jarred the Doofus
It's time like this where I wish I had my guitar set up into E Standard instead of Drop B. -____-'

Is it cool to just like good music and not give a damn about the source?
