I'm a native Houstonian and only been to Turkey Leg Hut once. It is really good despite the hype. I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Also if you want to come to Houston to experience Turkey Leg Hut to beat the lines go during the middle of the week or make reservations.
The Turkey legs is smoked. They smoke them themselves.

@@MyFullFiguredLife it was super spicy which I didnt expect since it was Alfredo but the waiter did warn me that’s the most taken back dish since no one expects the spice but taste wise I really only tasted the Smokeyness of the Turkey leg didn’t bring the flavor like I expected

Give me a bowl of that dirty rice!!!! I told you it was dry when I went, you def have to experience it yourself your version looks very good. Funny you posted this I was just watching another content creator trying TLH for the 1st time and she also considered it dry. Smoked meat can be tricky if cooked too long.

looks good like every thing else you make but next time try a baking bag it cuts cooking time down and meat fall off the bone and meat is still juicy
