This is the person who truly deserves credit for this inspirational tune. Nothing against Christina Aguilera, but this just feels so much more meaningful coming from its creator, especially after hearing that it was a difficult song for her to write, since it was really personal. I’ve read that she’s never regretted giving the song to CA and so I can accept that that’s the version that became best known. But Linda’s own will always be the most important one to me.
Linda produced the whole album for Christina that Beautiful is on, Linda could have had Christina sing it anyway she wanted as the producer. We got the version they both wanted us to have.

It's always fascinating to hear the person who wrote something AFTER knowing it as someone else's track. It's funny, I remember a while back, telling a friend "You know that singer Pink? It's weird, but some of her songs don't resonate with me at all, they are just there, but some I absolutely LOVE, not just love, but they feel familiar." And then I found out Linda Perry was working with her on literally every one of those songs I was drawn to. Prink is super talented, please don't mistake me, but I get the feeling she just wouldn't be my style if she had not hooked up with Perry. No shade on anyone ,just find it interesting.
