thats why i only get hot lobster rolls cause no matter how good it is, i aint spending 30-40 bucks on a cold sandwich. but that lobster roll with melted butter, definitely worth every penny especially since depending where you go, youll spend the same amount buying lobsters and buns from the store and making it yourself so atleast that balances out

I just moved to Boston, and I was super excited for Cannolis, but I went to Mike's, and I was disgusted! But I found another spot around the corner called Bova’s, and it was waaaay better!! I thought maybe it was an off day and came back to Mike’s 2 months later and nope, I wasn’t happy at all. Bova’s is so much better!!!

$6 for a Cannoli is even carazier. I live in Boston too. 4$ for a slice isnt actually terrible believe it or not. They are 3$ anywhere else. Its an extra buck. Not terrible. But my bakery (fratellis) sells cannolis that size for $3.49, so that $6 pricepoint is ridiculous.
I live 20 miles from Boston and yes the food is great however because of the changing one way streets the traffic and crazy drivers I haven't been to Boston in 10 years 😂😂😂😂😂 all set
OG Reginas in the North end is the real MVP here, def not what I’d expect someone to recommend from a tourist here. 💯 recommended to people who visit it’s nothing like all the pop up chains at the malls.
Bova's is way better than Mike's imo. Also, if you want a good slice, Jinny's Pizzeria makes the the best neopolitan (Proper Italian style) pizza in Boston, even though it is in Newton xD Though Ciao! Is a VERY strong contender, too
I was raied in the Beantown Roxbury and he missed Joes Steak and cheese but ive hit those places in the North End aka little Italy 🇮🇹 and they do have some great cannolis
That's the emptiest I've seen that particular Mike's Pastry. Usually the place has a minimum 20 min wait in line. I usually go to Mike's in Assembly if I'm craving one of their cannoli's or just get one at market basket.
