Just wanted to let you know, I've added your channel to our list of "Channels we love" on our RUclips channel Home Page. Always some interesting content and enjoyable videos about it.
That's great advise. I will need to be more mindful when dropping the trees to have them facing the right way to pull them out. Thank you for watching!
I really enjoy watching your videos, but I find it a bit odd that they show the homestead as it was months ago, even though you've made so much progress since then. It would be great to see updates closer to when the work is actually happening so we can follow the journey in real time-like many similar channels do. Just a thought!
Hi Rod, thank you for watching! I completely agree that it would be better to be current on my videos. I fell far behind on editing last year as I was working to get us established on the homestead and unfortunately the video editing took a back seat. My goal is to be caught up in the next month or so and then stay current from there on out. Thank you again for watching!
Appreciate a response: Well I have an RV and I want to retire in Idaho but I don't know where to look for property, especially one that only allows you to live in an RV or a bus without zoning you to build a house? Where did you find your property? If I may ask, how much did it cost? Although I don't want 40 acres I'd settle for half of that and would like it in northern Idaho. Do you have suggestions, or a contact so I can see if I can find something like that because I wouldn't mind building a small barn for my RV or a shop. All sounds wonderful... congratulations!
Most counties in North Idaho do not have much in the way of building codes or zoning. They really only require you to have pulled a septic permit before they energize your electrical service. They also would prefer electrical inspections, and the inspectors are really good. If you are within city limits, that might change. We found our property on Zillow and got the 38 acres for 180k. That was a couple of years ago now, so I am not sure what they are asking per acre now. I know Highland Reality is pretty good. Good luck with your search and thank you for watching!

That’s really awesome, thank you for the support!
Wood chipper could be very helpful
You are right, a wood chipper would definitely make things a lot easier! Thank you for watching!
If you can lift the log from the butt end you will decrease the amount of dirt in the bark. Easier for sawmilling
