*Withdrawn* Dublin Bus | Volvo B7TL ALX400 | AX547 (06-D-30547) | Route 40E

Here’s some onboard footage of AX547, one of the many buses that were recently confirmed to be withdrawn as of yesterday, alongside AX456, 509, 550, 578, 621, EV7, 65 and 66. This was recorded back in January 2024 on the 40E towards Tyrrelstown. AX547 was new to the fleet in 2006, like all of our AX class buses, and was part of the AX546 - 548 batch that were based in Harristown. In December 2018 a new route called the 40E was introduced on the same exact day as Go Ahead Ireland taken over routes 17A, 33B and 102 from Dublin Bus. AX547 was the first bus that worked the first ever departure of the 40E that day aswell. In this clip its seen travelling from Cappagh Road to Hollywoodrath. Today, the 40E remains as the only operated route in Harristown that doesn’t reach the City Centre. The mentioned buses were withdrawn because of both Phisboro and Summerhill garages transfering over most of their PAs to make room in both garages for the EW class and its charging ports, enjoy!
